 PURPOSE:
 
 
 
 The Purchasing Associate will manage the requisition and receiving process of products and services required for the operation of Calumet Montana Refining. This will include assuring that purchases occur under preferred multi-site sourcing agreements when applicable, and under prescribed practices in all cases. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager, and will work closely with site Accounting and Corporate Accounts Payable as part of the procure-to-pay process.
 
 
 This role will ensure consistent application and adherence to the company&rsquo;s procure-to-pay processes and procedures, and will be responsible for managing the invoice resolution process. It will also serve to provide local, end-user expertise as required throughout the procure-to-pay processes.
 
 
 The individual we seek will have experience and understanding of financial systems, with emphasis in ERP procurement modules. It will be the responsibility of the Purchasing Associate to ensure that products and services are ordered in a timely manner, according to established standard operating procedures and internal customer needs. The role will be responsible for determining the most appropriate method to procure, leveraging a variety of methods available including, but not limited to: applying against multi-site/strategically sourced agreements; engaging Purchasing/Sourcing managers for potential quotation, proposal and/or bid processes; or procuring the requested items via the company purchasing-card.
 
 
 Calumet is a large and diverse business, and few if any of our people are able to concentrate on only one functional area of responsibility. The Purchasing Associate will be able to take on additional duties and responsibilities related to procurement, including participation in special projects at times.
 
 
 
 KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Daily processing and input of internal customer request into the company ERP system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all request are in compliance with Calumet purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Function as a liaison between Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Vendors and Internal Customers to assist with procedural and invoice resolution issues in the purchase-to-pay process.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support Purchasing/Sourcing by identifying quotation/proposal/bid opportunities in the requisition process and providing other assistance as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Timely and accurate management of goods and services receipts process in the company financial system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support Master Data Management in the establishment and maintenance of Vendor Master Data and Item Masters.
 </li>
 <li>
 Daily review, issuance and management of key reports and issue resolution logs in support of the procure-to-pay process.
 </li>
 <li>
 Other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager.

Purchasing Associate

PURPOSE AND ROLE: 
This Level II Maintenance Pump Mechanic position is for a person with strong rotating equipment skills. This position supports the day-to-day operation of the site solving issues primarily within the pump mechanic field, but with opportunities to work in other traditional maintenance skill areas.
 
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Mastery of the Pump Mechanic craft</li>
<li>Developing in a secondary craft skill</li>
<li>Willing to work in and/or learn any or all maintenance skill areas in the Plant</li>
<li>Must have ability to direct contractors and other Maintenance employees as needed</li>
<li>Ability to operate all moving equipment (forklift, man lift, all-terrain, etc.)</li>
<li>Ability to read P & ID’s and other job-related documents</li>
<li>Must have good safety awareness and follow all policies and procedures</li>
<li>Any other tasks as assigned</li>
</ul>
REQUIRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCES: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>5+ years’ work experience as a rotating equipment mechanic or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.</li>
<li>Willing and able to work days, nights, weekend hours as required by the job</li>
<li>Must be willing to carry a phone and respond to call-outs</li>
<li>Must be willing to participate in weekly call-out rotations</li>
<li>Must follow all safety rules and participate in all scheduled training</li>
<li>Good organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to work well with others</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal amount of supervision</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCES: 
<ul>
<li>Two-year associate’s or technical degree in maintenance preferred.</li>
<li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li>
<li>Prior supervisory experience highly preferred</li>
</ul>
