CAM Innovation </b>is seeking a motivated and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and starting up controls systems for our machines. Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Design control system for our machines from specifications provided by clients and our machine designers.</li><li>
Select and size the electrical components to NEC, UL, and NFPA guidelines</li><li>
Use SolidWorks to make layout drawings and electrical schematics</li><li>
Finalize Bill of Materials, and component selection for purchasing and manufacturing departments.</li><li>
Support clients and our service team with troubleshooting advice through phone, email, and visits.</li><li>
Assist with installation of the controls on the machine and start-up of the machine in our factory</li><li>
Set-up servo motor drives for coordinated motions.</li><li>
Develop, monitor, and adjust project timelines to make sure all design work is completed on schedule and within budget.</li><li>
Provide support to the manufacturing department during the building and installation process, ensuring machines are built according to design specifications.</li><li>
Collaborate with the machine designers and with Manufacturing</li><li>
Manage project documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations.</li><li>
Seek new technology to be applied to CAM&rsquo;s products.</li></ul><div>

Required Skills/Abilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Demonstrated success in designing control and wiring systems.</li><li>
A working knowledge of electrical controls and control circuits, including component wiring and the ability to size and select components. NEC guidelines are the standard; however, CSA, CE or other guidelines may be required where applicable (Note: CAM supplies machinery globally).</li><li>
Experience with PLC&rsquo;s and other control system &amp; programming is helpful.</li><li>
Ability to collaborate with other team members to carry out the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.</li><li>
Willingness to travel to visit clients to review applications and support installations.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Education/Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
3-5 years of experience in designing and installing control systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with SolidWorks.</li><li>
Degree is helpful but not required.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.</li></ul><div><br>
