Document Control will store, manage, and maintain company documents, while ensuring all accuracy and quality. This job includes tasks such as processing documents for revision and approval, organizing documents from conception to distribution and filing, and help create and enforce systems which can then be used to train staff on document control processes.

Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
Manage and maintain all controlled company documents</li><li>
Update and control procedure documents and forms when needed</li><li>
Create and manage document hierarchy and process systems</li><li>
Take charge of all document identification, classification and filing</li><li>
Frequently conduct document audits confirming they are current and accurate</li><li>
Ensure revised documents are always accessible</li><li>
Conform to company enforced specifications and Document Control Procedures</li><li>
Enforce company&rsquo;s-controlled document processes to ensure correct handling of documents from the ground up</li><li>
Oversee document through its entire lifecycle (inception to archival)</li><li>
Check and edit incoming documents and prepare for distribution</li><li>
Create document filing and organizing systems that are both effective and efficient</li><li>
Ensure proper organization and security of all documents</li><li>
Help retrieve documents as needed for employees</li><li>
Make available, notify and distribute documents to relevant recipients</li><li>
Collaborate and communicate with managers and project leaders daily</li></ul></div>

Document Controller

<div>Civil / Structural Designer
This position is responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals often working closely with engineers to coordinate designs. The incumbent integrates management skills with expert technical knowledge and understanding of the business to identify technical requirements. He/she applies the highest level of technical skills gained through extensive experience on a broad range of projects and anticipates complex technical issues and coordinates resources internal or external to the team to resolve the issue(s). This position identifies opportunities to improve the technical standards and specifications around which others operate and serves primarily as the technical supervisor for multiple designated subject areas, projects, or business groups.

Regularly attends and completes internal and external training programs designed to improve individual&rsquo;s understanding and expertise in own engineering technology.</li><li>

Highly focused on quality ensuring conformance with project standards, 4-phase design, discipline design technologies and processes. Is innovative in meeting deliverable deadlines and in adhering to assigned scope of work.</li><li>
Demonstrates highly proficient design automation skills. Is a practitioner of advanced design automation techniques and leads others in adopting those techniques.</li><li>
Proactively participates in regional CAD user&rsquo;s groups or local CAD organizations.</li><li>
Accesses and applies the Automation eLearning demonstration videos to advance own knowledge and encourages others to do the same.</li><li>
Highly proficient in checking own work and coordinating work with related disciplines.</li><li>
Highly proficient in discipline-specific 3D modeling tools.</li><li>
Takes responsibility for their portion of the discipline&rsquo;s scope, schedule and budget and delegates accordingly to junior staff. Continued demonstration of reliability and accountability for own work products. Meets or exceeds delivery deadlines.</li><li>
Ability to support work for/in multiple other offices (including TDY).</li><li>
Performs some of the tasks listed in the Project Automation Lead or Lead Designer functions.</li><li>
Serves as a mentor to the project team, junior staff, and junior engineers by assisting with finding answers to technical questions and concerns.</li><li>
Proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within their own discipline; embraces emerging technologies</li></ul><div></div> 
Preferred Experience<ul><li>
High School or Trade School or Associates Degree or equivalent experience; BA or BFA degree strongly preferred.</li><li>
5 or more years of experience preferred.</li></ul></div>
