<div><ul><li>Welcome and respond to all inquiries from visitors, students, faculty, and staff and act in a friendly and helpful manner.</li>
<li>Enforce Camden County College standards as they relate to loss prevention and safety procedures.</li>
<li>Monitor designated areas using a range of techniques such as floor-walking and operating security camera systems.</li>
<li>Conduct surveillance to detect, prevent and assist with the violators of policy and notifying appropriate authorities.</li>
<li>Patrol assigned area by vehicle; bicycle, walking, or other assigned modes of transportation, and perform required duties.</li>
<li>Prepare a Daily Patrol Log, chronologically listing all activities, incidents, and action taken during shift; also, prepare written reports completely on prescribed forms, or word process on a computer.</li>
<li>Issue and process parking decals and tickets.</li>
<li>Participate in ID card checks, investigations, bomb scares, searches, fire drills, and other similar actions after receiving appropriate training.</li>
<li>Render first aid and other medical assistance to the level of your training.</li>
<li>Perform clerical duties as assigned pertaining to the Public Safety operation. Responsible for staffing the Public Safety Department&rsquo;s service call and complaint desk</li>
<li>Receive service calls, complaints, and incident reports from students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, and the general public. Accurately record important information for further action.</li>
<li>Monitor emergency telephones, CCTV video, and dispatch personnel in accordance with outlined procedures.</li>
<li>Issues daily situational representations to administrative personnel as well as generates emergency notifications for the College&rsquo;s emergency management team and predesignated stakeholders.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Public Safety and/or their designee</li>
</ul>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>High school diploma/equivalency required- Associate&rsquo;s Degree in Criminal Justice preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of one-year experience in the Public safety field, or Public Safety work environment is preferred.</li>
<li>Possess and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
<li>Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>
<li>Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the College Community, customers, and the general public.</li>
<li>Proficiency, or ability to become proficient, in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel.</li>
<li>Ability to perform essential job functions during stressful situations.</li>
<li>Certification by the State of New Jersey in CPR and First Aid, or ability to obtain certification during probationary period.</li>

<li>Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory when providing daily situational representations (Sit Reps), critical incident notifications (CIN) and other methods of digital communication.</li>
<li>Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time; run when necessary; climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs with no assistance; able to work in adverse weather conditions. Able to work in noisy environments.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze and comprehend verbal instructions and written documents such as operating materials.</li>

Public Safety Officer - Permanent Part-time

<div><ul><li>Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness.</li>
<li>Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.</li>
<li>Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.</li>
<li>Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations.</li>
<li>Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress.</li>
<li>Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.</li></ul><p></p><div><br>

</div>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>5 years of experience in the field.</li>
<li>Prior teaching experience preferred.</li>
<li>Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations, document student progress and email students and staff.</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications.</li>
<li>Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Active NJ State Board of Cosmetology Skin Care Specialist or Cosmetologist-Hairstylist license.</li>
<li>Active NJ State Board of Cosmetology Teacher license, preferred.</li><br>
