JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled RN who can also function as a scrub nurse or circulator. In this hybrid role, you will assist surgical teams during procedures while providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care. You will ensure patient safety, prepare the operating room, manage surgical instruments, and support patients before, during, and after surgery.
Provides professional nursing care to assigned operating room patients throughout the perioperative period. Collaborates with surgical team to strategize, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care for each patient. Assists physicians during examinations and surgical procedures, using and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Evaluates and monitors patients' condition, maintains patients' medical records, and documents patient's progress. Administer medications, including narcotics, as directed. Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul><li>Performs patient assessment and documents in patient record.</li>
<li>Develops an age-appropriate plan of care, which addresses physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs, in collaboration with other members of the health care team.</li>
<li>Implements the plan of care, delegates appropriately and ensures documentation of interventions.</li>
<li>Scrubs all surgical services provided at CCH.</li>
<li>Identifies and assures that physician preferences for surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for each case.</li>
<li>Maintains principles of aseptic technique.</li>
<li>Performs technical skills in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.</li>
<li>Evaluates progress towards desired outcomes, revises plan of care and intervenes as necessary.</li>
<li>Educates patient and families regarding current health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes.</li>
<li>Provides service excellence to all customers.</li>
<li>Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.</li>
<li>Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education.</li>
<li>Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.</li>
<li>Actively participates in hospital committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program.</li>
<li>Maintains a clean and safe environment.</li>
<li>May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and patients.</li>
<li>Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.</li>
<li>Complies with the hospital&rsquo;s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Call is required.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive.</li>

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>Education
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. National Certification of specialty unit recommended.</li>
</ul></li><li>Licensure
<ul><li>RN license in the state of Wyoming.</li>
</ul></li><li>Experience
<ul><li>Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred.</li>
</ul></li><li>Certifications required
<ul><li>See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities following the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be provided to our residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul><li>Coordinate resident care with other departments</li>
<li>Communicate changes in resident&rsquo;s condition with employees, physician, resident, and family members</li>
<li>Perform administrative duties such as completing medical documents, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc</li>
<li>Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required</li>
<li>Complete accident/incident reports</li>
<li>Evaluate adequate supplies are available, including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, resident personal supplies and equipment</li>
<li>Evaluate that resident abuse does not occur</li>
<li>Complete rounds to evaluate and assist in the development and implementation of various types of care needs on each resident, including but not limited to; wound care, behavior management, respiratory care, etc</li>
<li>Provide treatments and care to medically complex residents in collaboration with the physician</li>
<li>Attend care plan meetings as assigned</li>
<li>Provide care plan updates as necessary to ensure appropriate resident care</li>
<li>Provide resident care according to physician orders and care plan</li>
<li>Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and standard of practice</li>
<li>Respond to all resident call lights regardless of assignment</li>
<li>Coordinate with outside agencies including but not limited to; hospitals, hospice, home health, lab, x-ray etc</li>
<li>Assist with training supervision for nursing personnel</li>
<li>Make rounds to evaluate quality of care performance and teamwork by employees, assuring quality service</li>
<li>Make recommendations to the nursing supervisor concerning employee dismissals, transfers, etc</li>
<li>Respond to resident and family grievances and report per policy</li>
<li>Establish open lines of communication between all nursing personnel</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and rights of resident, family, employee and facility information in compliance with PHI HIPAA policies and applicable regulations and company policy</li>
<li>Maintain safe work environment and exhibit safe work practices</li>
<li>Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families and visitors</li>
<li>Participate in QAPI and other quality improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Perform other duties as requested</li>
</ul>
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
<ul><li>Knowledge of computer systems, including Point Click Care, Google and Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Working knowledge of long-term care and skilled nursing state and federal regulations (preferred)</li>
<li>Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures and standards of care</li>
<li>Leadership and supervisory skills-willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel</li>
<li>Patience, tact and a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult people</li>
<li>Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served</li>
