Essential Job Functions

This is a safety sensitive position</li><li>
Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs</li><li>
Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.</li><li>
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales</li><li>
Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff</li><li>
Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees</li><li>
Monitor parts department employees' payroll records</li><li>
Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction</li><li>
Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.</li><li>
Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business</li><li>
Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Education:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent is required</li></ul></li><li>
License &amp; Certifications:<ul><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license and good driving record is required</li></ul></li><li>
Experience:<ul><li>
Five years of experience in an automotive parts department is preferred</li><li>
Some sales experience is required</li></ul></li><li>
Abilities:<ul><li>
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines</li><li>
Ability to use a computer and other office equipment</li><li>
Knowledge of MS Office</li><li>
Knowledge or ability to learn company system applications, including Motility Systems2K and other applicable software</li><li>
Requires continuous visual ability for use of computer, files, and reports</li><li>
Ability to bend or sit for long periods of time</li><li>
Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds</li></ul></li></ul>
