Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Operations Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education, $15.92 - $17.19

QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
High school diploma Criminal background check required for hire.</li><li>
Valid Colorado Driver&rsquo;s License.</li><li>
Similar job-related experience is preferred.</li><li>
Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.</li><li>
Ability to effectively read, write, speak and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.</li><li>
Integrity, trust and work ethic to be able to work with little supervision.</li><li>
Competent understanding of technology to perform the job.</li><li>
Must pass pre-employment physical.</li><li>
Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 75lbs).</li><li>
Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of district data.</li><li>
Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts to the various district systems and applications.</li><li>
Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel.</li><li>
Follows all board policies for acceptable use of district technology.</li><li>
Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.</li></ul> 
POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:<ul><li>
Develops work scheduling, assigns work areas, assigns tasks and monitors performance of student sweeper as applicable.</li><li>
Facilitates training for evening custodial staff in proper use of tools, supplies, equipment and safety procedures as directed by Director or Operations.</li><li>
Takes necessary steps to ensure a cohesive team working environment among the custodial crew.</li><li>
Generates maintenance requisitions in a timely manner and follows up on them.</li><li>
Works cooperatively with Head Custodian to keep supplies in stock and properly stored.</li><li>
Ensures that equipment is clean, safe and properly maintained.</li><li>
Ensures proper operation of the heating/cooling systems including necessary work orders being placed.</li><li>
Works with a schedule that guarantees the proper cleaning, inspection and security of all parts of the building and grounds including playground equipment.</li><li>
When working days, sets up, cleans and helps supervise during breakfast/lunch session(s).</li><li>
When working evenings, sets up, cleans and helps supervise after-school activities (if evening job).</li><li>
Keeps all sidewalks free of ice, snow, rocks and other debris.</li><li>
Assists in setting up and taking down equipment for school programs/athletic events.</li><li>
Moves classroom/building furniture throughout the building as needed.</li><li>
Performs regular custodial duties as needed through the day, including clean-up of bodily fluids.</li><li>
Performs grounds maintenance as needed including mowing grounds that are not taken care of by district crews, raking/cleanup of leaves and weeds.</li><li>
Maintenance and care of the flagpole with the appropriate flag position designation each day.</li><li>
Maintain and update school marquee regularly as directed by administrator.</li><li>
May fill-in for other custodians who are absent, especially the activities custodian for evening athletic events.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
Skills, Knowledge, Equipment &amp; Other:
Cleaning materials and tools, basic repair tools, buffer, vacuum cleaner, lunchroom tables, snow removal equipment including shovel and/or small tractor, shampooer, etc. 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Student Sweeper as applicable.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; feel or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds from floor to waist, waist to overhead, waist to floor and overhead to floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a school setting. Travel from site to site may occasionally; be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment ranges is generally quiet with occasional increase when working events or with equipment. Must be able to work in person. 
Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to analyze and compute. Frequently required to compare, communicate, coordinate, instruct, evaluate, use interpersonal skills and compile. Occasionally required to copy, synthesize and negotiate.
