The Opportunity

In this cross-functional role of a Product BI Analyst, you will work with our customers to provide actionable insights by transforming raw data into customer outcomes. You will create accurate and insightful reporting and play a crucial role in helping to guide Canopy's data-driven strategies.

This can be a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office) or fully remote based from Utah.

What You'll Do

Data Analysis &amp; Insight Generation
<ul>
<li>Build and model reports, dashboards, and visualizations for Canopy Customers to help them operate their accounting firms.</li>
<li>Translate high-level customer needs into consumable reports and data.</li>
<li>Analyze complex data sets, providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.</li>
<li>Use ThoughtSpot, SQL, Snowflake, Excel, and more to give customers visualizations when and where they need them.</li>
<li>Use data to answer the difficult questions that no one else can.</li>
</ul>
Communication &amp; Collaboration
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with other teams to gather requirements, define problems, and deliver answers.</li>
<li>Communicate and collaborate effectively with our customers to understand their business needs and provide strategic guidance.</li>
</ul>
Performance Monitoring &amp; Optimization
<ul>
<li>Monitor and measure the performance of your BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and timeliness.</li>
<li>Identify areas for improvement and optimization, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the company.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.</li>
<li>At least 4-5 years experience in a BI role, with a focus on business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency in data visualization tools and technologies, such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, ClickView.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of SQL and data query languages, including experience with Snowflake or Redshift.</li>
<li>Knowledge of basic concepts of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
Bonus Points
<ul>
<li>Experience in B2B SaaS.</li>
<li>Experience with Accounting / Tax.</li>
<li>Mathematical or statistical experience.</li>
</ul>

Interviewing @ Canopy:

Application processes can be a little stressful. Here are the stages of a typical interview process at Canopy:

<li>Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it's a mutual fit!</li>
<li>20-minute phone call with the People Team.</li>
<li>45-60-minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager.</li>
<li>1-3 rounds of interviews, depending on the role.</li>
<li>Final Interview.</li>
