As a Behavioral Health Technician, you&rsquo;ll join a compassionate, collaborative team where empathy and evidence-based care go hand in hand. Our 19-bed behavioral health unit is focused on supporting patients&rsquo; mental and emotional well-being, providing a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes healing, dignity, and hope.
How you'll contribute
A Behavioral Health Tech who excels in this role:<ul><li>
Under the supervision of nursing staff, provides direct patient care and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.</li><li>
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.</li><li>
Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.</li><li>
Observes and records patient behavior and activities.</li><li>
Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.</li><li>
Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.</li></ul>

What we're looking for<ul><li>
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
License: CNA Preferred</li><li>
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must have within 45 days of hire</li><li>
Handle with Care (HWC) Must have within 45 days of hire</li><li>
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</li></ul>
