Capchase is looking for a strong, hands-on Accountant / Senior Accountant to support our lending and fintech operations under US GAAP. This role will focus on execution, close support, and audit readiness across multiple entities, in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced, deadline-driven organization. We're looking for a critical thinker and structured problem solver who can help our team get to the next level!</p><p>
As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining, preparing, and reconciling accounts and other financial documents. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent communication skills.</p><p><b>
Job duties</b></p><ul><li><div>
Support month-end close (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis)</div></li><li><div>
Accounting for lending products, including loan balances, interest income, charge-offs, recoveries, loan loss provisions / credit loss reserves</div></li><li><div>
Support revenue recognition using the Effective Interest Rate (EIR) methodology under US GAAP</div></li><li><div>
Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors</div></li><li><div>
Assist with multi-entity and intercompany accounting</div></li><li><div>
Proactively identify issues, work through ambiguity, and help build and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation as the business scales</div></li><li><div>
Good to have:</div><ul><li><div>
Exposure to credit loss / impairment accounting (CECL or similar frameworks)</div></li><li><div>
Experience with EIR / amortized cost accounting for loans</div></li><li><div>
Prior experience supporting US audits</div></li><li><div>
Multi-entity / international accounting exposure</div></li><li><div>
Startup or scale-up experience</div></li></ul></li></ul><p><b>
Requirements</b></p><ul><li><div>
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)</div></li><li><div>
Big 4 background strongly preferred</div></li><li><div>
5+ years post-qualification experience</div></li><li><div>
Solid US GAAP exposure (required)</div></li><li><div>
Experience in lending / financial services / fintech preferred</div></li><li><div>
Strong Excel skills; NetSuite or similar ERP experience is a plus</div></li><li><div>
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a dynamic environment</div></li></ul><p>
