Description</b>:<div></div><ul><li><br>
Assists in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by supervising provider</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manages provider&rsquo;s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time</li></ul>
<ul><li>Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms, and checks two-patient identifiers</li></ul>
<ul><li>Communicates status of delegated task completion to supervising provider</li></ul>
<ul><li>Obtains relevant information and takes vital signs as indicated (i.e. height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Inputs pertinent clinical information into the electronic health record timely and with accuracy and collects home medication lists</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists clinicians with clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. Keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information pertaining to the patient&rsquo;s visit</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepare and maintain exam rooms for patient arrivals. Clean and/or maintain inventory of supplies (medical included) and equipment throughout the practice. Notifies supervisor to order clinical supplies, clinical equipment and pharmaceuticals as appropriate</li></ul>
<ul><li>Under the supervision of a provider, administers routine injections when delegated, and documents in real time and with accuracy</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participates in practice and department meetings, trainings, etc. to promote continuous improvement of quality patient care</li></ul>
<ul><li>Takes initiative to learn, understand, and stay current with community resources and the greater healthcare system</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains patient rights and abides by all confidentiality obligations pursuant to CCHC and HIPAA</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provides clerical/office support as necessary (i.e. scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients, scanning incoming medical records and paperwork, preparing medical records, answering phone calls and taking messages, faxing, etc.)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to float to other MACC practices when required</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested</li></ul><div><br>

Qualifications</b>:<div></div><ul><li><br>
Ability to read, write and communicate in English</li></ul>
<ul><li>Medical Assistant - Certification from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Completion of a post-secondary medical assisting program required for PCP Office (Preferred for Specialty Office)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers</li></ul>
<ul><li>Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management skills</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience with current office technology, proficient with computer office applications (Electronic Medical/Health Records, MS Office, etc.)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Minimum of two years&rsquo; experience in a clinical setting preferred</li></ul><div><br>
