1. Properly utilizes the nursing process in caring for patients by maintaining relevant, accurate and current patient records as evidenced by Nursing PI activities.</p><p>
2. Provides documentation of assessment of the patient throughout the Hospital admission including physical, psychological, social dimensions and discharge plans. Summarizes assessment data and initiate plan of care with communication of pertinent data to allied patient care providers as evidenced by Nursing PI activities.</p><p>
3. Understands, assumes, and demonstrates proficiency in the role of charge nurse.</p><p>
4. Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (information systems).</p><p>
5. Assumes role of resource person regarding patient care, orientation and teaching staff.</p><p>
6. Participates in at least four-unit staff meetings per year, attends mandatory programs and obtains three hours of Patient Care Assessment Committee (PCAC) credit per year.</p><p>
7. Participates in identification of the aspects of care for the patient, indicators used to monitor the quality and appropriateness of care, and the evaluation of that care. Adheres to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures.</p><p>
8. Assesses personal learning development needs. Maintains documentation of current and ongoing professional development activities. Regularly up-dates knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served. Shows a willingness to participate on Nursing Committees.</p><p>
9. Represents hospital in the community and within the hospital by maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters and by presenting the hospital in a manner that will best market the services provided.</p><p>
10. Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested his/her immediate supervisor.</p><div><br>

Delivers excellent customer service to patients through participation in a medical care team. Demonstrates a high level of competence with support in accordance with MACC&rsquo;s policies and procedures.<div>

Assists in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by supervising provider</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manages provider&rsquo;s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time</li></ul>
<ul><li>Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms, and checks two-patient identifiers</li></ul>
<ul><li>Communicates status of delegated task completion to supervising provider</li></ul>
<ul><li>Obtains relevant information and takes vital signs as indicated (i.e. height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Inputs pertinent clinical information into the electronic health record timely and with accuracy and collects home medication lists</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists clinicians with clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. Keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information pertaining to the patient&rsquo;s visit</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepare and maintain exam rooms for patient arrivals. Clean and/or maintain inventory of supplies (medical included) and equipment throughout the practice. Notifies supervisor to order clinical supplies, clinical equipment and pharmaceuticals as appropriate</li></ul>
<ul><li>Under the supervision of a provider, administers routine injections when delegated, and documents in real time and with accuracy</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participates in practice and department meetings, trainings, etc. to promote continuous improvement of quality patient care</li></ul>
<ul><li>Takes initiative to learn, understand, and stay current with community resources and the greater healthcare system</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains patient rights and abides by all confidentiality obligations pursuant to CCHC and HIPAA</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provides clerical/office support as necessary (i.e. scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients, scanning incoming medical records and paperwork, preparing medical records, answering phone calls and taking messages, faxing, etc.)</li></ul>
