Responsibilities of MDS Coordinator:<ul><li>
Ensure timely and accurate MDS assessments.</li><li>
Verify compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.</li><li>
Supervise MDS data entry and transmission.</li><li>
Resolve issues with data and validation.</li><li>
Prepare and present reports to the Director of Nursing (DON).</li><li>
Provide feedback and address operational concerns.</li><li>
Participate in facility surveys and audits.</li><li>
Assist with audit responses and maintain regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Stay updated on Medicare and Medicaid regulations.</li><li>
Support MDS-related quality improvement initiatives.</li></ul> 
Qualifications for MDS Coordinator:<ul><li>
Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required</li><li>
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN, BSN, or LPN)</li><li>
Current/active license</li><li>
Minimum 3 years clinical experience in long-term care</li><li>
Prior MDS/RAI experience</li><li>
Strong clinical assessment skills</li><li>
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations</li></ul>
