Position Description: Upper School Physics Teacher
Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Teach 5 sections, including all levels of Physics. Experience teaching Engineering courses preferred.</li><li>
Serve as an advocate for the CFA signature Engineering Certificate Program. Collaborate with colleagues and administration on the execution and evolution of the program.</li><li>
Serve as a faculty advisor to 10-12 students.</li><li>
Provide a range of instructional and assessment strategies with technology to meet the needs of all students.</li><li>
Collaborate with staff members to create engaging lessons and a positive school culture.</li><li>
Provide tutoring to individual and small student groups as required.</li><li>
Sponsor a student club and/or coach an athletic team.</li><li>
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications:<ul><li>
Teacher should possess experience and knowledge in all levels of upper school Physics, including AP Physics.</li><li>
Demonstrated proficiency using technology including online texts, iPads, and computer interface measurements.</li><li>
Teacher should have an interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities.</li><li>
Commitment to a community that values equity, diversity, and inclusion.</li></ul>
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in subject area required; a Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.
Experience: Three or more years of teaching experience at the high school level, preferably in an independent school environment.
