<div><div><ul><li>Business development, project management and design engineering, including negotiating, estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost engineering of electrical projects.</li>

<div><div><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></div>
</div><br>
<div><div><ul><li>Four-year degree in construction management or related field or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of ten (10) years construction project management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.</li>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years electrical construction project management.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety required.</li>

<div><div><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></div>
</div><br>
<div><div><ul><li>Previous experience managing fire alarm, voice/data, fiber optic, audio/visual, security, card access and other low voltage projects.</li>
<li>Previous design build and project management experience of industrial, commercial, governmental, and institutional projects.</li>
<li>Previous experience successfully managing electrical contractor operations.</li>
<li>Previous experience in various roles involved in overall construction project (Electrician, Foreman, Estimator, Service Manager, Preconstruction Manager, Project Manager, etc.).</li>
<li>The ability to successfully mentor and train Project Admins, Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.</li>
<li>The ability to successfully mentor and guide Foreman/General Foreman.</li>
<li>Experience within the Kansas City market is preferred.</li>

<div><div><b>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div>
</div><br>
<div><div><ul><li>Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project(s).</li>
<li>Prepare complete estimate for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.</li>
<li>Supervise total construction efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, codes and standards, budget and schedule; includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.</li>
<li>Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).</li>
<li>Investigate any situations with potential project impacts, mitigate wherever possible, and initiate correcting actions as necessary.</li>
<li>May direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.</li>
<li>Supervise craft employees by working closely with the on-site foreman; may supervise work of other contractors as required by the contract.</li>
<li>Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required).</li>
<li>Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties, responsibilities, scope of authority, provide technical advice, and resolve problems.</li>
<li>Review project proposals and plans to determine timelines, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.</li>
<li>Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards for project.</li>
<li>Ensure all design activities are completed accurately and on time in accordance with master schedule.</li>
<li>May serve as the prime client contact coordinating the resolution of problems, reviewing progress, recommending alternatives, and advising on project objectives.</li>
<li>Ensure successful projects and satisfied clients by anticipating client needs, exceeding client expectations while maximizing profitability through effective project leadership.</li>
<li>Ensure all company processes and procedures are followed, including company safety initiatives.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li>
