This role is responsible for overseeing association financial operations, supporting community managers and boards of directors, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for a portfolio of HOA clients.This position is highly customer-facing and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. The role guarantees adherence to the established GAAP guidelines in all tasks.What Winning Looks Like:<ul><li>Prepare and review monthly financial statements for assigned HOA portfolios</li><li>Ensure accuracy of balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules</li><li>Monitor association operating and reserve accounts</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies</li><li>Monitor and analyze accounting data, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports, and statements.</li><li>Coordinate with Community Managers regarding financial activity and board requests</li><li>Attend board or finance committee meetings as needed to present financials</li><li>Respond to board member and homeowner financial inquiries professionally and timely</li><li>Provide financial guidance and support to community managers.</li><li>Assist with annual budget preparation and financial planning</li><li>Maintain organized financial records for all associations</li><li>Maintain banking documentation and compliance requirements</li><li>Monitor cash balances and investment maturities</li><li>Coordinate transfers between operating and reserve accounts</li><li>Open and manage association bank and CD accounts</li><li>Supervise and support one direct report responsible for transactional accounting tasks</li><li>Review work for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies</li><li>Support annual audits, tax preparation, and CPA requests</li><li>Ensure adherence to HOA governing documents and financial policies</li><li>Maintain organized financial records for all associations</li><li>Follow internal accounting controls and best practices</li><li>Perform other finance duties as needed or assigned</li></ul>Skills Needed to Win:<ul><li>Required Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field</li><li>Must have 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience</li><li>Strong understanding of financial statements and reconciliations</li><li>Customer-service mindset with professional communication skills</li><li>High attention to detail and organizational ability</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel</li><li>HOA or property management accounting experience</li><li>Experience working with multiple client accounts or portfolios</li><li>Banking or cash-management experience</li><li>Experience supporting audits or CPA reviews</li><li>Client-focused communication</li><li>Financial analysis and problem-solving</li><li>Time management across multiple accounts</li><li>Ability to explain financial concepts to non-accountants</li><li>Strong follow-through and accountability</li></ul>Salary:The range for this role considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certification, and other business and organizational needs.
