As a Helper - HVAC, you will become part of a team of stellar employees who are highly valued and skilled. You will get to put your mechanical, technical, and mathematical skills to use operating tools and machinery. Capstone is looking for highly motivated Helpers with some experience in duct installation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Learn trade from leadman and take initiative in performing tasks

2. Serve and support leadman in completing tasks at hand

3. Keep worksite clear and clean from debris and trash

4. Help to keep shop and vehicles clean

5. Assist with installation and maintenance tasks

6. Assist with paperwork involving basic math skills

Requirements:

<li>Working knowledge, understanding, and ability to comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures, including use of tools (hand and power tools - tape measure, screwdriver, Allen wrench, nut driver, wrench, socket and magnetic (chuck) sets; dikes, plumb bob, lineman and needle nose pliers, Panduit gun, Schrader core remover, 410A &amp; R-22 gauges, duct hammer, knife, crescent wrench, torpedo and 4&rdquo; level, razor knife, cleat tool, pipe wrench, crimpers, bending tongs, tubing cutters and benders (3/8), PVC cutters, Whitney punch, multi-meter, drill bits, service wrench with insert, red &amp; green snips, staple gun, cordless combo kit) and other equipment such as operation(s) of forklift, man-lift or other vertical lifting equipment

Helper - HVAC

Entry level, full time, hourly position involving install of components for building automation systems. Seeking a diligent and self-driven worker, with attention to detail. Needs to be teachable with a propensity to learn and open to constructive criticism.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Install HVAC and building automation controls on new construction, remodeled, and service locations</li>
<li>Install communication and control wire possibly in obscure locations which may include above ceiling grid, through interior and exterior walls, in tight crawl spaces, or in high places</li>
<li>Install control devices in sometimes hard to reach locations</li>
<li>Install controllers and terminate wires for sensors and actuators using a wiring diagram</li>
<li>Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and wiring diagrams</li>
</ul>
Skills and Job Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Possess an aptitude for electrical wiring and reading and interpreting wiring diagrams</li>
<li>Possess aptitude to read and interpret plans and specifications for a project</li>
<li>Able to bend conduit to fit an application</li>
<li>Able to climb ladders and work at moderate heights (mostly between 20 and 30 feet)</li>
<li>Must be capable of lifting equipment up to 75 lbs. for a distance</li>
<li>Willing to work after hours and weekends when necessary</li>
<li>Ability to use a multimeter</li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of one-year technical certificate in HVAC or equivalent from an accredited institution or 2 years of experience in an HVAC related field</li>
<li>Possess desire and aptitude to eventually lead a crew</li>
<li>Possess basic set of tools (screw drivers, drill, etc.)</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and able to drive a company vehicle when necessary (must be 21 years of age)</li>

The Service Apprentice reports to the Area Service Manager and is responsible for assisting in a range of refrigeration/HVAC jobs for industrial and commercial customers.

Customer-based activities involved in this position require an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and who possesses initiative and the ability to communicate well with all customer groups. The Service Apprentice must be able to assist in accurately diagnosing and efficiently accomplish a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and Capstone Mechanical. Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with most of the contacts being service customers, other Capstone Mechanical technicians, the Area Service Manager, and the Field Service Coordinator.

Summary of Duties:
<ul>
<li>Serving as a member of the Service Department team which is organized to conduct HVACR servicing jobs promptly and</li>
<li>Performing routine HVACR service activities with direct oversight or on-site assistance.</li>
<li>Performing related duties as directed by the Area Service</li>
<li>Assist in installation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs of refrigeration</li>
<li>Assist on installs and troubleshooting of specialized refrigeration equipment and</li>
<li>Assist in brazing and soldering of refrigerant lines.</li>
<li>Assist in charging and checking equipment refrigerant levels.</li>
<li>Assist in performing pre-start up checks on equipment and adjusts as</li></ul> 


Job Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school graduate and or be enrolled in a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years in</li>
<li>Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with commercial customers, suppliers, and other Capstone Mechanical employees.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions found in</li>
<li>Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing his or her HVACR skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development</li>
<li>Current Texas operator's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current Capstone Mechanical insurance</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressures of time, a non-standard schedule, weather, customer needs, and backlog</li>
<li>Specialized knowledge to analyze and solve complex</li>
<li>Continuous, concentrated mental and visual effort to plan and perform complex work.</li>
<li>Maintain a valid TDLR card.</li>
<li>Possess a valid EPA card.</li></ul>
