Leading Real Estate company requires Purchase Officer.Location: Salt lake, sector-5, kolkataExperience: minimum 2years in Real-Estate or Construction companyJob Responsibilities:1. Procurement Support:<ul><li>Assist the Purchase Manager or Procurement Officer in sourcing and procuring construction materials, equipment, and services.</li><li>Collect quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved material requisitions.</li><li>Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to site or warehouse.</li></ul>2. Vendor Management:<ul><li>Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.</li><li>Maintain and update the supplier database with contact details and product information.</li><li>Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and payment terms.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors for material samples, testing, or certifications when required.</li></ul>3. Coordination with Internal Teams:<ul><li>Coordinate with site engineers, storekeepers, and project managers to understand material requirements and specifications.</li><li>Ensure all material requests are properly authorized before initiating purchases.</li><li>Liaise with the Accounts Department for supplier payments and invoice processing.</li><li>Work with the logistics team to track shipments and deliveries.</li></ul>4. Documentation and Record Keeping:<ul><li>Prepare and maintain all purchase-related documentation (requisitions, quotations, POs, GRNs, invoices, etc.).</li><li>Maintain both digital and physical records for audit and reference purposes.</li><li>Update procurement status reports and communicate material delivery timelines to project teams.</li></ul>5. Budget and Cost Control:<ul><li>Ensure material purchases are within the approved project budgets.</li><li>Monitor price trends and recommend cost-saving alternatives.</li><li>Adhere to company procurement policies and approval hierarchies.</li></ul>6. Compliance and Quality Assurance:<ul><li>Ensure all purchases meet company quality and specification standards.</li><li>Coordinate with quality control teams to verify and approve materials received at sites.</li><li>Support compliance with ISO, safety, and environmental standards.</li></ul>7. Reporting and Analysis:<ul><li>Prepare regular reports on purchase status, supplier performance, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Maintain procurement trackers or ERP records for real-time updates.</li><li>Highlight any procurement delays or material shortages to management.</li></ul>8. Miscellaneous Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in developing purchase plans based on project schedules.</li><li>Follow up with vendors for pending documents such as invoices, warranties, or test certificates.</li><li>Support internal and external audits related to procurement.</li></ul>Preferred Candidate Profile:<ul><li>2&ndash;4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the real estate or construction industry.</li><li>Strong negotiation, coordination, and vendor management skills.</li><li>Knowledge of construction materials and technical specifications.</li><li>Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar).</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.</li><li>Understanding of procurement procedures and documentation.</li></ul>Job Type: PermanentPay: &#8377;20,985.65 - &#8377;32,771.59 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
