We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and training in all stages of the research process. Your work will be supervised by Dr. Matthew Denes (Assistant Professor of Finance, Carnegie Mellon University).
Core responsibilities include:

<div>Job Description: Teaching Assistant, Business Administration Department at CMU-Q
The Business Administration program at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant position. This position is designed for candidates with a business background and strong business analytics skills who are interested in contributing to the educational mission of the business program through course and faculty support, student instruction, and exploration of AI tools in business education. The successful candidate is expected to begin work in August 2026.
Responsibilities include supporting undergraduate business and economics courses, working with lead instructors on instructional materials and course content design, coordinating content across courses, holding recitations and office hours, working closely with students, and supporting our general educational mission.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong business background, relevant professional experience, and hands-on proficiency in coding and business analytics.
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related field. A master's degree in a business-related field is a plus.
</li><li>At least 3-5 years of relevant professional or industry experience (e.g., consulting, analytics, operations, or a related business function).
</li><li>Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience applying these tools to business analytics problems (e.g., data analysis, dashboards, forecasting, or similar).

teaching efforts through extensions of our Pittsburgh academic programs and research in Silicon Valley, Portugal, Africa, and Thailand.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking an Associate Buyer that will be responsible for the purchasing of goods or materials and preparing and processing related paperwork in compliance with the University purchasing policy (i.e. purchase order). The Associate Buyer contacts vendors as needed to follow-up on questions and/or issues. Answers department related questions regarding the University purchasing policies and procedures. Generally, this position purchases goods and materials from vendors on the Procurement Services preferred supplier and contract supplier list. May assist with reviewing vendor lines, placing re- orders, pricing merchandise, managing inventories or performing price comparisons.
Core Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Monitors the purchasing email inbox to promptly review, acknowledge, and determine ownership of purchase requests.
</li><li>Converts purchase requests to purchasing tickets using request tracker software.
</li><li>Ensures compliance with procurement policies.
</li><li>Uses a university purchasing card or Oracle Purchase Orders to convert Purchase Requests to orders.
</li><li>Creates Capital Asset Requisitions for capital equipment.
</li><li>Communicates with faculty and staff to provide order status and resolve issues.
</li><li>Reconciliation of university purchasing card transactions.
</li><li>Purchase Order invoice management, including uploading invoices, confirming receipts in the Oracle system, communication with Accounts Payable, and suppliers.
</li><li>Acts as backup support to the Manager of Procurement Services.
</li><li>Work closely with other team members, faculty, staff and students to provide price comparisons, vendor information and backup documentation for purchases.
</li><li>Places credit card orders
</li><li>Maintains auditable documentation that will support purchases.
</li><li>Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree; bachelor&rsquo;s degree (preferred)

</li><li>A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
