<div>JOB This 12-month grant-funded position is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum for preschool age children in a team environment. This position reports to the Director/Teacher, Littlest Learners Child Development Center. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
<ul><li>Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans using Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) and MSDE guidelines</li><li>
Work as a collaborative team member with center staff, college faculty and parents</li><li>
Assist Center Director with administrative tasks including; scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and program evaluation as needed</li><li>
Promote philosophy of Littlest Learners Child Development Center</li><li>
Collaborate with ECE community partners and CCPS to help children successfully transition to kindergarten</li><li>
Effectively utilize resources to enrich the learning environment</li><li>
Modify lessons to individualize learning for each child and provide inclusive environment</li><li>
Utilize a variety of curricular teaching methods including nature and arts based, as well as mandated MSDE curriculum</li><li>
Adhere to all safety procedures as outlined by Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care (MSDE OCC) Licensing</li><li>
Observe and evaluate children to document areas of growth and areas of need</li><li>
Conduct parent-teacher conferences</li><li>
Work collaboratively with the college education faculty in promoting the Lab School Model in ECE classes</li><li>
Serve as a mentor for teaching aides and college interns</li><li>
Assist with the MSDE and NAEYC Accreditation process</li><li>
Attend and participate in staff meetings</li><li>
Maintain daily written plans and organized paperwork</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>

SALARY INFORMATION:</b></div><div>
This 12-month grant funded, exempt position will be placed on the College 12-month Child Development Center, Littlest Learners auxiliary pay scale at grade 101. Actual salary placement based on qualifications and experience. Position includes excellent benefits package.</div><div><b><br>

Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion</li><li>
Hear/talk/communicate &ndash; Must be able to exchange information and communicate</li><li>

Mental Acuity &ndash; Able to focus, concentrate, understand, and convey subject matter</li><li>
Repetitive motion (i.e., keyboarding)</li><li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT:</b><b>
</b></div><div>Child development center; constant interaction with preschool age children; dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to needs. College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common and shared areas, offices, and campus environments. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms; use of safe work place practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls. Observance of College policies and fire and building safety regulations. Observance of traffic laws when/if driving College vehicles.</div><b><br>
TO QUALIFY FOR EMPLOYMENT, SELECTED CANDIDATES MUST:</b><br>

successfully complete a criminal background check (for designated positions)</li><li>
be able to work on campus as of the first day of employment</li><li>
Residency restrictions apply. The College does not hire solely online instructors living outside of Maryland. Carroll employees may live in other states, but they must physically work in Maryland the majority of the time. For income tax obligations, employees must be a resident of DC, VA, WV, MD, or PA on the date employment commences. In addition, candidates must be willing to come to campus for identity verification within 3 business days of hire date.</li><li>
