Automotive Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Most units are box trucks and or FedEx style step vans. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently. The Fleet Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for operation.Duties<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, brake inspections, and tire services.</li><li>Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.</li><li>Repair and align vehicle components to ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Execute equipment repair tasks, including soldering and assembling parts as needed.</li><li>Maintain air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.</li><li>Troubleshoot HVAC systems within vehicles to ensure proper functioning.</li><li>Document all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall fleet performance.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficient in automotive repair techniques, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience with tire service procedures and equipment.</li><li>Strong skills in equipment repair, assembly, and soldering.</li><li>Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements.</li><li>Familiarity with HVAC systems in vehicles is a plus.</li><li>Ability to transmit information effectively within the team regarding vehicle status and repair needs.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.</li></ul>Join our team as a Fleet Technician where your expertise will contribute significantly to our operational success!Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Mishawaka, IN 46545 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Mishawaka, IN 46545: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
