 POSITION SUMMARY
 Caregivers create a joyful and vibrant community by providing care, support, and companionship to our residents. You will assist seniors with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure their safety, well-being, and comfort, in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 <ul>
<li>Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.</li>
<li>Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.</li>
<li>Mobility Support: Help residents with mobility, transfers, and exercises to maintain their physical health.</li>
<li>Companionship: Engage in conversations, games, and activities to provide emotional support and companionship.</li>
<li>Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.</li>
<li>Safety: Ensure residents' safety by monitoring for any potential hazards or emergencies and responding appropriately.</li>
<li>Communication: Maintain open communication with residents, their families, and team members to provide updates on residents' well-being.</li>
<li>Documentation: Accurately record and document care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and any incidents or observations.</li>
<li>Respect and Dignity: Treat residents with respect, dignity, and empathy, promoting their independence and autonomy.</li>
<li>Training: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices and standards. Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays current on all system assigned tasks and duties.</li>
<li>Teamwork: Collaborate with other caregivers, nurses, and staff members to ensure a cohesive and caring environment.</li>
<li>Crisis Management: Handle challenging situations or emergencies calmly and effectively.</li>

 EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
 <ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in senior care.</li>
<li>Completion of required caregiver training and certifications (if applicable).</li>
<li>Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a special interest in working with the senior population</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and assist with the mobility of residents as needed.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English</li>
<li>Current First Aid and CPR card</li>
<li>Current Food Handlers card</li>
<li>Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check</li>
<li>Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.</li>

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds, lifting 25 to 40 pounds constantly. The employee must reach below shoulder height frequently and kneel, stoop and squat occasionally. Stand 6 out of 8 hours.

Nursing - Caregiver - Full Time

Medication Aide (WA)
 POSITION SUMMARY
 The Medication Aide helps create a joyful & vibrant community by caring for residents and administering and/or assisting with the self-administration of routine and non-routine and non-injectable medications by oral, rectal, or topical means in accordance with physician orders and nursing practices as directed by the Director of Nursing Services.
 ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES
 <ul>
<li>Performs various tasks assigned by the Director of Nursing Services including vital signs, residents' weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, as well as lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as directed by the Director of Nursing where State Nursing Regulations authorize such delegation.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate record of medications and treatments administered or omitted on each resident’s clinical record to include the reason medication was omitted or prn medication was given.</li>
<li>Records narcotics administered or received on the appropriate controlled drug count sheet, reporting all medication errors immediately.</li>
<li>Reports and records changes in resident conditions, incident and accidents to Director of Nursing Services, physician and family members as indicated by the Director of Nursing Services.</li>
<li>Communicates with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to ensure medications are received in a timely manner. Provides direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice; regularly observes resident’s physical and mental condition and directly reports to the Director of Nursing Services.</li>
<li>Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the resident, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.</li>
<li>Assists with or performs ADL’s as needed, accurately documents care services provided in observation on communication logs and incident reports.</li>
<li>Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously and in a manner that respects dignity, confidentiality standards and promotes individual rights.</li>
<li>Follows and supports community fire safety and infection control practices and promptly reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Director of Nursing Services.</li>
<li>Follows standard precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.</li>
<li>Restores medication and equipment and keeps the medication room clean and orderly.</li>
<li>Removes outdated or discontinued medication for return to the pharmacy.</li>
<li>Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays current on system assigned tasks and duties.</li>
<li>Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
 <ul>
<li>A high school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Must hold current CNA/HCA license in good standing</li>
<li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English</li>
<li>Must hold a medication pass certification per state requirements</li>
<li>Current First Aid and CPR Card</li>
<li>Maintains current Food Handlers card</li>
<li>Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check</li>
<li>General computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Working knowledge of office machines (copier, fax, phone system, etc.).</li>
