How you'll contribute
A Patient Access Representative who excels in this role:<ul><li>
Explains policies regarding services, charges, insurance billing, and payment of accounts to patients, vendors, and customers.</li><li>
Requests full or partial payment(s) for services rendered according to collection policies.</li><li>
Receives payments from patient for services rendered, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.</li><li>
Assists patients and physician clinics with price quotes and pre-authorizations for special programs.</li><li>
Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.</li><li>
Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.</li><li>
Meets with patient or patient's caregiver before or after admission to exchange necessary information and documentation.</li><li>
Provides explanation of process and addressing concerns and questions.</li><li>
Verifies insurance benefits and authorization as necessary.</li><li>
Communicates with admitting physician's office, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel regarding admission to exchange necessary information and determine placement.

What we're looking for<ul><li>
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.</li><li>
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
