Position Overview</b></p><p>
We are seeking an experienced and driven <b>Development Project Manager</b> to oversee and lead all aspects of construction for commercial retail projects across on the west coast of Florida and primarily in the Sarasota-Manatee region. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of site work&mdash;including involvement in land development, permitting, infrastructure installation, utilities, grading, drainage, and paving&mdash;while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.</p><p>
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in construction for retail or mixed-use projects, deep knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes, and strong leadership and organizational skills to coordinate consultants, contractors, and municipal agencies.</p><p><b>
MAJOR DUTIES RESPONSIBLE FOR:</b></p><ul><li>
Develop client, consultant, and contractor relationships.</li><li>
Managing engineer and architectural consultants.</li><li>
Managing Contractors during construction.</li><li>
Deliver a profitable project in accordance with financial standards.</li><li>
Develop project budgets and schedules.</li><li>
Development of initial project planning, accountability, and scheduled project status reviews.</li><li>
Maintain adherence to project schedule, including participation in development and regular updates with team.</li><li>
Participate in scheduled project team meetings with owners, design team members, jurisdictional authorities, and construction team members.</li><li>
Responsible for project procurement</li><li>
Preparing contracts and amendments with consultants and contractors</li><li>
Review of lease and contracts.</li><li>
Review and approving consultant invoices.</li><li>
Produce regular reporting on project status, budgeting, progress, turnover.</li><li>
Understand and comply with the company&rsquo;s EEO policies and affirmative action obligations.</li><li>
Client management throughout procurement, construction, and post-construction processes</li></ul><p><b>
SKILLS:</b></p><ul><li>
Strong technical and communication skills are critical.</li><li>
Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>
Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.</li><li>
Knowledge of Autocad and site planning preferred.</li></ul><p><b>
