Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, family law, and juvenile dependency. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.Duties<ul><li>Assist attorneys with legal research and document preparation for various cases, including estate planning, family law, and personal injury law.</li><li>Manage case files using document management systems such as MyCase and Clio Draft.</li><li>Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.</li><li>Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.</li><li>Perform document review and proofreading to maintain high-quality submissions.</li><li>Support litigation efforts by organizing case materials and preparing exhibits.</li><li>Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.</li><li>Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.</li><li>Provide executive administrative support including data entry, clerical tasks, and phone etiquette.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a law office setting is required.</li><li>Familiarity with various areas of law including family law, estate planning, and juvenile dependency.</li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.</li><li>Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.</li><li>Proficient in legal case management software and document management systems.</li><li>Strong research skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
