</div><div>Performs a variety of organizational, administrative, communication functions and also provides care within scope of practice and hospital policies and procedures, appropriate to the age of the patients served within the Emergency Department, incorporating knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life-span.<br>

<div><b>Required:
</b></div><div><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent.
</li><li>Basic computer application skills.
</li><li>BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
</li><li><b>Either NA1 or NA2 (if NA2 must maintain valid NA1 listing)
</b><br>
<b>Nurse Aide I: </b>Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services.
<br>
<b>Nurse Aide II: </b>Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and the NC Board of Nursing.
</li><li>Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within six months of employment date.

<div>May perform Phlebotomy if certified.<br>

<div><div><b>Summary of Performance Expectations:
</b></div><div>Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of mail, supplies, equipment, and authorized specimens between CVMC departments and affiliated clinics. Ensures chain-of-custody, HIPAA compliance, and vehicle safety while delivering high levels of customer service. Provides support during emergencies, weather disruptions, and hospital-wide supply chain needs.<br>

</b></div><div><b>Required
</b></div><div>High school diploma or equivalent. Valid NC driver&rsquo;s license with violations not exceeding health system standards or insurance carrier regulations. Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations if operating larger vehicles. Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement practices.<br>
</div><div></div><div><b>Work Experience:
</b></div><div><b>Required
</b></div><div>Customer service experience; knowledge of local area preferred. Ability to use mobile devices, route/dispatch apps, and basic email/Outlook..<br>

 </b></div><div>Healthcare courier experience; specimen handling or chain-of-custody training.</div></div>
