<div>Job Purpose:
This position will assist both Senior and Staff Accountant with AR and AP duties and assist the Accounting Supervisor with collections.
Accounts Receivable:<ul><li>Responsible for credit holds, AR requests from Project Managers, Shipping and Customer Service relating to customer accounts</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all invoices and supporting documents are saved in job files</li><li>Responsible for new customer set up: collecting paperwork from customers, credit checks (references and pulling Dun &amp; Bradstreet reports), completing vendor supplier forms and setting up new customer accounts</li><li>Responsible for posting Customer payments and bank transfers</li><li>Assist with processing invoices</li></ul>
Accounts Payable<ul><li>Assist with invoicing</li><li>Assist with issuing checks</li><li>Responsible for setting up new vendors accounts in ERP system</li></ul>
Collections<ul><li>Make outbound collection calls and/or email correspondence in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations</li><li>Document correspondence in ERP system and save necessary documents in customer master file</li><li>Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and maintain documentation to discuss with Supervisor</li><li>Email monthly statements to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts</li></ul>

Participate in process improvement initiatives and procedural updates.</li><li>
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, principles, and business ethics codes.</li></ul>
Measurements:<ul><li>Prompt response/action and accuracy.</li><li>Reduced delinquent accounts.</li><li>Customer accounts updated</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Five (5) years of prior accounting experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable</li><li>
Two (2) years of experience in collections</li></ul>
Soft Skills:<ul><li>
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required</li><li>
Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment</li><li>
Multi-tasking abilities</li><li>
Professional phone etiquette</li><li>
Customer service skills</li><li>
Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy</li><li>
Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency</li></ul>
Hard Skills:<ul><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word)</li><li>
Experience with ERP software, preferably Epicor</li><li>
Experience with Avalara preferred</li></ul>

Pay range: $64,000-70,000
