Catholic Charities is hiring a part-time Client Advocate to support individuals and families facing housing or economic instability. Requirements</h3>
Minimum requirements to be eligible for the role. 
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
H.S. diploma/equivalent required. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human services field preferred.</li><li>
Experience with and sensitivity to issues affecting low income and homeless populations.</li><li>
Two years of experience in the human services field preferred.</li></ul>
Knowledge &amp; Skills:<ul><li>
Bilingual or fluent (English/Spanish), is not required but a plus.</li><li>
Empathetic and compassionate character with excellent communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain positive work relationships.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal professional relationships which encourage openness, candor, and trust both internally and externally.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to apply culturally appropriate skills in interactions with clients, co-workers, volunteers, partner agencies, and other community members.</li><li>
Authentic personal commitment to Catholic Social Teaching.</li><li>
Ability and willingness to work within the established structure of the Castle Rock Department and Catholic Charities.</li><li>
High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and team-oriented work ethic, with the ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.</li><li>
Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and multitask in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Basic math and analytical skills to perform calculations (e.g., budgeting, income vs expense, monthly vs annually) and interpret results to support case management. Training will be provided to help assist families with budgeting during assessments.</li><li>
Ability to follow directions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance.</li><li>
Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.</li><li>
Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work independently with little supervision.</li></ul>
Other Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to travel by automobile, as needed, in the course of the position.</li><li>
Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate meetings and special events.</li><li>
Must successfully complete background clearance.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Essential Duties
Key tasks and responsibilities to be performed in the role.<ul><li>
Conduct initial screening and intake of clients to gather information that identifies critical service needs. Inform the client of services available through Catholic Charities or by referral to another agency/partner for assistance with identified needs.</li><li>
Conduct comprehensive client assessments to gather pertinent information directed at concerns identified in the initial screening.</li><li>
Provide strength-based case management services. Build rapport, conduct needs assessments and develop effective case plans based on the agreed upon goals, desired outcomes, and timeframes. Provide appropriate services (or referral for services) and monitor results of the service plan over time.</li><li>
Manage cases related to self-sufficiency programs in partnership with Douglas County.</li><li>
Assist in the development of procedures, policies, programs, and services designed to promote the skills and conditions necessary for clients to achieve their goals.</li><li>
Perform data entry, including client plans and case management notes, into EmpowOR or applicable agency case management database in a timely, succinct, and accurate manner.</li><li>
Ensure confidentiality and security of client information.</li><li>
Direct clients to appropriate partner agencies both on and off-site.</li><li>
Maintain contacts and positive working relationships with provider organizations to which clients are referred.</li><li>
Assist in developing and maintaining an accurate list of referral sources.</li><li>
Schedule may include evenings and weekends.</li></ul>

Complete trainings to build case management skills (such as Motivational Interviewing and Protective Factors)</li><li>

Ability to use sound judgment within defined policies and procedures to determine appropriate action.</li><li>
Ability to utilize technology relative to the performance of the areas of responsibility.</li></ul>
 Work Environment<ul><li>
A majority of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment.</li><li>

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $20.70- $22 / hour. Salary is determined based on the applicant&rsquo;s incoming skills and experience in and the budget at time of hiring.
