<div><p><b>Position Summary:</b><br>
The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization&rsquo;s Human Resources department. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately February 1st through June 15th, 2026. This role is part-time at 25-30 hours per week, with some scheduling flexibility. The temporary HR Assistant will work full days on new employee onboarding dates (usually the 1st and 16th of the month) and then can choose a schedule during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for non-onboarding dates.<br>
<br>
<b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>
General HR
</p><ul><li>Establishes, maintains, and closes digital employee personnel files in compliance with applicable organization, audit, and legal requirements.</li><li>
Verifies, completes, and maintains I-9 documentation according to Federal guidelines.</li><li>
Compiles documents during pre-employment, after new hire onboarding, and continuously during employment.</li><li>
Tracks required staff certifications, registrations, licenses, etc. in collaboration with the Credentialing Specialist. Verifies credentials are current on an annual basis, or more often if needed/required.</li><li>
Processes monthly background checks for behavioral health staff and other background checks for Early Learning and other identified staff as required.</li><li>
Assists employees with general HRIS needs (ex., resetting passwords, system training).</li><li>
Completes leave/absence census reports twice monthly.</li><li>
Participates in audits of personnel files, benefits, or other HR programs/procedures. Reviews any corrective action or recommended process improvements with HR Leadership.</li><li>
Reports all employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints, to HR Leadership.</li><li>
Directs HR policy/process/procedure, employment law, and other high-level HR questions to HR Leadership.</li></ul><p>
Recruitment
</p><ul><li>Enters approved job descriptions in the HRIS and shared drive. Sends updated job descriptions to impacted staff for signatures, as appropriate.</li><li>
Conducts phone screenings with qualified applicants as requested.</li><li>
Schedules job interviews, including coordination of calendars and schedules and approval of interview questions.</li><li>
Initiates the reference checking process, reviews the feedback reports, and provides the report to the assigned Talent Acquisition Specialist and/or hiring manager.</li><li>
Establishes and maintains digital applicant files and applicable applicant documents.</li><li>
Creates and distributes new hire e-mails and new hire packets.</li><li>
Attends job fairs and other external recruiting events as requested.</li></ul><p>
Onboarding
</p><ul><li>Creates new employee records in the HRIS.</li><li>
Assists with new employee onboarding (e.g. training employees in the HRIS, employee badges, etc.).</li><li>
Tracks job descriptions and onboarding checklists for new hires and assures required items have been completed and signatures are obtained.</li><li>
Enters new hire information into various benefit portals.</li></ul><p>
HR Department Support</p><ul><li>
Monitors ticketing system and assigns tickets to the appropriate HR staff member(s).</li><li>
Processes incoming mail.</li><li>
Monitors the HR Department email box and forwards emails to HR staff member(s) as needed.</li><li>
Creates and distributes documents.</li><li>
Schedules HR team meetings prepares agenda and maintains notes for each meeting.</li><li>
Orders requested supplies.</li><li>
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as requested/required.</li><li>
Provides clerical and administrative support for HR Leadership, including:<ul><li>
Drafts letters, e-mails, and other documents.</li><li>
Tracks changes to policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook and submits for review and approval.</li><li>
Coordinates and schedules meetings, training sessions, and other requested events.</li></ul></li></ul><p>
Other Duties</p><ul><li>
Acts as the primary HR contact for emergency alerts (RAVE alerts).</li><li>
Schedules events and participates in special projects as assigned.</li><li>
Performs other duties as required and assigned.</li></ul><p><b>

High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>
Associate degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Two years of experience in human resources, customer service, general office or clerical experience or related field required.</li><li>
Experience working in a non-profit organization highly preferred.</li></ul><p><b>
Special Skills</b></p><ul><li>
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.</li><li>
Excellent clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documents with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</li><li>
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), payroll management, and/or similar computer applications.</li><li>

Human Resources Assistant - temporary

<div><p><b>Position Summary:
</b></p><p>The Case Manager for Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) responds to referrals from police and community members within Chelan &amp; Douglas Counties to provide intensive case management for people whose unlawful behavior is driven by unmet needs related to substance use, mental illness, or extreme poverty. The LEAD model is based on principles of harm-reduction and non-displacement, utilizing intensive case management, peer outreach and counseling, a trauma informed care perspective, specially tailored interventions, and cultural competency to support the goals of diverting participants from the criminal justice system, reducing recidivism, and improving quality of life. LEAD case management replaces clinic-based care with community-based, low-barrier, participant-driven outreach, engagement, and care. Case Managers help participants identify their goals and interests, work to understand fears and barriers, and use motivational interviewing to support behavioral shifts that help participants secure available services and resources to advance their progress and well-being.<br>
</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Receive referrals from officers and dispatch immediately to referral locations within Chelan &amp; Douglas Counties to engage with the referred participant and complete an initial screening
</li><li>Engage participants in a street level outreach at their homes and in the community to develop an ongoing working relationship to offer and engage in services</li><li>
Assess participants for immediate and basic needs such as housing support, substance use treatment, physical health, mental health, health benefits/insurance, food and clothing, etc.</li><li>
Collaborate with participants to develop an individualized service plan that is specific and tailored to the individual&rsquo;s basic needs, healthcare, behavioral health treatment/services, safety, and self-change goals</li><li>
Help participants accomplish goals set in their individualized service plan such as accessing services, connecting to substance use treatment or harm reduction services, navigating local resources, completing applications and forms, accompanying to appointments, and developing skills for independent living
</li><li>Respond to and follow-up on social contact and community referrals in a timely manner and according to processes determined in collaboration with the Policy Coordinating Group (PCG)</li><li>
Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to referrals from law enforcement
</li><li>Provide transportation to participants as needed using an agency-owned vehicle</li><li>
Advocate for participants with other providers and within the criminal legal system at court appearances, consistent with the LEAD model and core principles</li><li>
Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with LEAD partners including prosecutors, law enforcement, substance use and mental health providers, Chelan County Regional Jail, housing providers, and other community stakeholders
</li><li>Attend and participate in Operational Work Group (OWG) meetings, staff meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings, individual or group supervision, and other meetings as required.</li><li>
Identify system barriers and potential solutions that address the needs of participants and share these observations with OWG and PCG.
</li><li>Communicate with partners in similar diversion initiatives across the state to collaborate and develop best practices</li><li>
Develop and maintain participant files according to LEAD and Catholic Charities requirements and utilizes databases and technology as required</li><li>
Obtain required consent forms, multi-party release of information, and other documentation and follow all agency policies regarding confidentiality and other consumer rights</li><li>

Effectively communicate and problem-solve under pressure in high-stress situations. Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict, and de-escalate issues</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and outside contacts from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds</li><li>
Ability to prioritize workload and daily activities and complete tasks timely and efficiently</li><li>
