The Translator will provide Translation services for individuals with a language barrier. Translation will consist of but not limited to Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services, etc.</div><div>
This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.</div>
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:</b></div></div><div><ul><li>
Accurately translate spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings.</li><li>
Utilizing technology to transcribe spoken English in some settings.</li><li>
Reading an original document and translating it into the language required.</li><li>
Editing translated versions</li><li>
Will need to be sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during the translation process</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div>
Qualifications:

Qualifications &ndash; Here&rsquo;s What You Need:</b></div></div><div><ul><li>
High School/BA Degree/ or equivalent in years of experience</li><li>
3+ years of translation/interpretation in Burmese</li><li>
Certified Translation Professional.</li><li>
ATA Certification.</li><li>
Translation Certifications.</li><li>
Experience with State Department experience/ refugees, FDA, Health &amp; Human services, Medical, Legal, Housing Authority etc.</li><li>
Must be fluent in Burmese</li><li>
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.</li><li>
The ability to facilitate translation with discretion and impartiality.</li><li>
Proficiency in written communication</li><li>
A wide breadth of knowledge in a variety of topics</li><li>
Strong social awareness for interpretation with empathy and attentiveness</li><li>
Cultural awareness when conducting translations within different regions</li><li>
Physical stamina and dexterity for extended sessions</li><li>
Must possess problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.</li><li>
Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.</li><li>
Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.</li><li>
Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><div><b>

Working Conditions:</b></div><ul><li>
Professional remote environment.</li><li>
Must be able to be on-call. Translator will be notified within 48 hours of potential jobs.</li><li>
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.</li><li>
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.</li><li>
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.</li><li>
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.</li><li>
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.</li><li>
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.</li><li>
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.</li></ul><p><b>

</p><p><b>The Work:</b></p><p>
The Senior Staff Assistant will provide advanced administrative and organizational support to ensure the efficient operation of the designated office or department. This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and executing tasks with precision in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Staff Assistant serves as a central point of contact, coordinating communications, schedules, and critical functions for senior management or staff members, while also contributing to the overall success of the team.</p><p></p><p><br>

Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Serve as a staff assistant to Senior Advisors, coordinating and assisting in the accomplishment of administrative and operational issues, processes, and business needs.</li><li>
Maintain an understanding of the major issues, current and long-term, which are being pursued by the bureau.</li><li>
Maintain liaison with client offices and stakeholders to ensure that deadlines are met for the work tasked by the client.</li><li>
Ensure quality and timeliness of written products drafted by providing guidance, enforcing deadlines, and reviewing for format, style, coherence, accuracy, content, and clearance.</li><li>
Direct substantive reviews and seek to resolve critical issues.</li><li>
Communicate requirements and recommendations, as well as items of special significance or interest to Front Office leadership.</li><li>
Maintain liaison with the client and other 7th floor principals, as well as with principals in other agencies, as necessary.</li><li>
Assist in the development and coordination of appropriate systems of internal controls and provide advice and guidance to staff and program specialists on administrative issues.</li><li>
In connection with the planning of travel for the A/S, the assistant ensures that all briefing material is prepared from draft no later than 48 hours before anticipated departure.</li><li>

Qualifications &ndash; Here&rsquo;s What You Need:</b></p><ul><li>
At least two (2) years of staff assistant level responsibilities.</li><li>
Experience with developing project and program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones involving complex programs, systems.</li><li>
Ability to work both independently and with others</li><li>
Secret Clerance is required.</li><li>
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.</li></ul><p><b>
Minimum Skills:</b></p><ul><li>
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent customer service skills</li><li>
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including follow-up on pending tasks.</li><li>
