Overview:</b></p><p>
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team to support the EVP/Head of Communications for Paramount&rsquo;s TV Media Group, and EVP of Communications for CBS Studios. The ideal candidate will have solid communication, coordination, collaboration, and prioritization skills to support a dynamic desk.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities include but not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>
Provides administrate support to the TV Media Group&rsquo;s top communications officer, who reports directly to the Chair of TV Media, as well as provide support for the EVP, Communications, CBS Studios. Manages EVP&rsquo;s calendar, travel, and schedules meetings.</li><li>
Interacts with senior management, press and with various divisions within Paramount and external constituents.</li><li>
Reconciles expense reports and orders department supplies as needed.</li><li>
Serves as a conduit between the various Paramount Communications groups by acting as a resource for information and maintains the flow of information.</li><li>
Prepares correspondence, decks and various other materials as directed.</li><li>
Responsible for screening and handling calls.</li><li>
Manages, tracks and processes invoices and department budgets.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Basic Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
3+ years of previous experience in the entertainment industry is required</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Addtional Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
College degree preferred</li><li>
Must have the ability to communicate tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone</li><li>
Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions</li><li>
Must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills</li><li>
Must have the ability to organize and schedule work</li><li>
Must have the ability to work well under time constraints</li><li>
Must be able to handle multiple tasks</li><li>

Hiring Salary Range: $80,000.00 - 100,000.00.</p><p></p><p><br>
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.<br>

Responsibilities</b><br>
</h2><ul><li><div>
Create and implement press strategies and develop timelines to maximize CBS News programming and talent profiles.</div></li><li><div>
Pitch to secure feature stories and talent interviews across a variety of media platforms and outlets, including online, print, talk shows, podcasts, and industry panels, among others.</div></li><li><div>
Liaise and align with producers, talent, and key internal departments, including Photo, Marketing, and management, to facilitate ongoing publicity support for the News division.</div></li><li><div>
Plan, develop, and execute talent trips, press junkets, and on-set media visits in support of series.</div></li><li><div>
Handle talent appearances at events.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with units within the CBS Television Network for cross-promotional opportunities.</div></li><li><div>
Write press releases, storylines, bios, and social media copy for News division programming and talent.<br>

Basic Qualifications</b><br>
</h2><ul><li><div>
4+ years&rsquo; experience in media relations.</div></li><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in either English, Communications, Journalism, Publicity or related field.</div></li><li>
Ability to work onsite five days per week, with flexibility for fluctuating hours&mdash;including mornings, evenings, and weekends&mdash;based on the demands of a 24/7 news cycle.</li></ul><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>

Proficient knowledge and comprehension of culture and social media/digital/online press.</div></li><li><div>
Fluent in social media with the ability to track trends emerging in the digital space.</div></li><li><div>
Must be a creative and resourceful initiator who can create a well-thought-out press plan to maximize publicity, pitching traditional and non-traditional media.</div></li><li><div>
Solid organizational, management, and client/talent relations/customer service skills with great attention to detail.</div></li><li><div>
An ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.</div></li><li><div>
Must demonstrate a high quality of work performed, both precisely and proficiently.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work successfully in an extremely dynamic, deadline-oriented work environment while maintaining a positive attitude.</div></li><li><div>
A team player available to also support fellow publicists and their projects when necessary.</div></li></ul><p><br>
