<p><b>CD PROJEKT RED </b>is looking for a <b>Lead Gameplay Programmer </b>to join our team to work on Cyberpunk 2, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise.<br>
In this role, you will lead the Cyberpunk 2 Gameplay engineering team to create amazing player experiences and top-quality gameplay in Unreal Engine 5. Management and the success of your team will be your priority, but you will also be doing some hands-on coding.</p><p><b>
Daily Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Manage your direct reports and help them grow while delivering high-quality player experiences. This includes career support, 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions.</li><li>
Guide your team to build high quality, performant and scalable gameplay systems in Unreal Engine.</li><li>
Foster cross-team and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient development.</li><li>
Work with production to contribute to roadmapping and planning efforts.</li><li>
Work closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned with everyone to deliver on expectations.</li><li>
Ensure that designers have efficient workflows and tools.</li><li>
Write high-quality code that is optimised, bug-free, and aligned with project goals.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Solid management skills, with a minimum of one year of experience managing a team of programmers.</li><li>
At least 7 years of professional programming experience within the games industry.</li><li>
Excellent proficiency in C++ programming.</li><li>
Knowledge of mathematical concepts, including 3D math and linear algebra.</li><li>
Ability to think creatively and strategically to overcome technical challenges and drive innovation in technology.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>

You will bring your years of expertise, leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for creating animation pipelines and systems for characters, vehicles, and weapons to our growing team.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Develop and manage a high performing Technical Art team comprising Rigging TD&rsquo;s and Technical Animators.</li><li>
Leverage your skillsets in both digital content creation tools and real-time engines to drive and deliver high-quality character, vehicle, and weapon workflows, pipelines, and animation solutions.</li><li>
Manage your direct reports and help them grow in their role and ambitions, including setting up 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions.</li><li>
Work with Directors and Production to estimate and plan work.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned to deliver on expectations.</li><li>
Coordinate and drive cross-discipline functional teams from feature conception to completion.</li><li>

<p><b>CD PROJEKT RED</b> is looking for an <b>Expert Combat Designer</b> to help drive the vision and implementation of the combat experience for Project Sirius &mdash; an original video game combining beloved aspects of The Witcher world with immersive multiplayer gameplay.</p><p>
Reporting to the Lead Combat Designer, you will take on everything from the high-level &ndash; pitching enemy and weapon types &ndash; to the sub-second nitty-gritty &ndash; placing I-Frames and damage volumes, tweaking damage-scales, etc. You will work across disciplines, from art and animation to engineering and production, to make our game&rsquo;s combat fun, satisfying and scalable from the beginning to end.</p><p>
Responsibilities</p><ul><li>
Work on key systems such as: targeting, combat metric, input queuing, player abilities and progression, aggro management (ticket system for AI), enemy behavior tree, enemy ambient behavior, and balancing.</li><li>
Develop and refine our approach to combat and foundational combat systems.</li><li>
Pitch, prototype, implement, balance and ship a wide variety of enemy types, including core enemies and bosses.</li><li>
Tune the combat experience at the micro level: animation lengths, i-frames, damage volumes, etc.</li><li>
Implement each character type&rsquo;s combat behavior using techniques such as behavior trees, animation graphs and blueprint.</li><li>
Work with character art, animation, VFX and audio to ship characters with state-of-the-art levels of polish.</li><li>
Help balance combat-related systems such as player leveling and experience, weapons, and damage.</li><li>
Produce documentation to communicate your proposals and designs, and work with production to ensure they can be implemented with the time and resources available.</li></ul>
