<p><b>CD PROJEKT RED</b> is looking for an experienced, talented and creative <b>Senior Level Designer</b> to join our team to work on Cyberpunk 2! Help us bring our ambitious vision of this vibrant open world RPG to life while pushing the bar for narrative-driven experiences ever higher!</p><p>
The person in this position will be responsible for pitching, planning and implementing location blockouts with a focus on melding narrative with compelling and multifaceted gameplay. Level designers will be working in editor with existing meshes and tools, ensuring their cohesive placement and connection to other content within an open-world while also creating and balancing memorable encounters that will thrill and excite our players. Daily Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Designing, prototyping, iterating on and polishing in-game levels, including level geometry, enemy encounters and other gameplay elements, using our proprietary tools and Unreal Engine 5.</li><li>
Crafting unique spaces where gameplay flow and visual composition form memorable experiences.</li><li>
Developing and working within predefined level metrics.</li><li>
Working closely with the lead level designer and other team members to ensure created levels contribute to and enhance the gameplay and game narrative.</li><li>
Working with your lead to help nurture skills across the team through Orion&rsquo;s development.</li><li>
Proactively suggesting improvements to gameplay systems and principles, while remaining receptive to the feedback of others.</li></ul>
</div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></h2>
<ul><li>At least 7 years&rsquo; experience as a Level Designer or in a similar role.</li><li>
Experience with game editors, Unreal Engine, and/or 3D packages.</li><li>
Extensive knowledge of current titles, specifically in the Action/RPG genre with an emphasis on FPS gameplay, as well as works of art, such as movies, architecture or visual arts, to be used as reference for crafting and communicating original ideas.</li><li>
Excellent understanding of level design fundamentals and the role of level design in the overall player experience.</li><li>
Proactive problem-solving skills and an ability to effectively communicate solutions, as well as own and drive topics independently.</li><li>
Ability to create map layouts on all stages, from simple drawings to fully functional levels in at least one of the existing game engines.</li><li>
Ability to use all elements of the game world, including level geometry, texturing, lighting, sound and VFX to craft unique player experiences.</li></ul>

This person will take ownership of working directly with the Lead Encounter Designer and cross-discipline team members to help formulate solutions for and help create memorable gameplay encounters that will thrill and excite our players.</p><p>
 <b>Daily responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Work with the Lead Encounter Designer, Quest, Open World, Level Design, Environment, and Gameplay teams to design memorable combat encounters based on predefined narrative, environmental, and gameplay themes.</li><li>
Adjust predefined quests and locations by utilizing NPC setups, interactive objects, loot, and environment to create a challenging playthrough with multiple solutions.</li><li>
Work with Level Designers and Environmental Artists to ensure level geometry serves the needs of combat encounters.</li><li>
Mentor and guide junior encounter designers.</li><li>
Dedicate yourself to understanding all player verbs, allowing yourself to craft divergent experiences that cater to all available playstyles.</li></ul>

You will bring your years of expertise, leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for creating animation pipelines and systems for characters, vehicles, and weapons to our growing team.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Develop and manage a high performing Technical Art team comprising Rigging TD&rsquo;s and Technical Animators.</li><li>
Leverage your skillsets in both digital content creation tools and real-time engines to drive and deliver high-quality character, vehicle, and weapon workflows, pipelines, and animation solutions.</li><li>
Manage your direct reports and help them grow in their role and ambitions, including setting up 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions.</li><li>
Work with Directors and Production to estimate and plan work.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned to deliver on expectations.</li><li>
Coordinate and drive cross-discipline functional teams from feature conception to completion.</li><li>
Establish and maintain best practices offering guidance to support content development team artistic and technical objectives.</li><li>
Mentor the technical art team, building an environment of creativity, trust, and excellence aligned with the company&rsquo;s values and goals.</li></ul><p><b>

Prototype, research, integrate, and extend rigging and animation systems.</li><li>

Animation pipeline knowledge including developing and scripting tools for Maya, MotionBuilder, or other DCC applications.</li><li>
Proven track record of building character, vehicle, weapon workflows and pipelines.</li><li>
