<div>JOB PURPOSE:

The Precast Estimator for CDA Precast LLC. is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete projects. This role supports sales and operations by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure profitable and achievable project execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements</li>
<li>Prepare detailed cost estimates, including:
<ul><li>Materials</li>
<li>Labor</li>
<li>Equipment</li>
<li>Transportation and logistics</li>
</ul></li><li>Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors</li>
<li>Work closely with Sales, Production, and Operations to develop accurate bid strategies</li>
<li>Submit bids and proposals in a timely and professional manner</li>
<li>Track and follow up on submitted bids to determine project awards</li>
<li>Maintain and update estimating databases, pricing, and historical cost data</li>
<li>Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options</li>
<li>Assist in project handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to production</li>
<li>Support customer inquiries related to bids, pricings, and product specifications</li>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Sit/stand - frequently - office and yard environment</li>
<li>Occasional walking in production or yard areas</li>
<li>Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally</li>
<li>Good vision and hearing required</li> 
</ul>
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret:
<ul><li>Civil plans</li>
<li>Engineering drawings</li>
<li>Specifications</li>
</ul></li><li>Proficient in:
<ul><li>Microsoft Excel (critical)</li>
<li>Microsoft Office Suite</li>
</ul></li><li>Experience with estimating software preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar programs is a plus</li>
</ul>

QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience in:
<ul><li>Construction estimating</li>
<li>Precast concrete</li>
<li>Civil construction or related field</li>
</ul></li><li>Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously</li>
<li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li>
<li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with acceptable driving record</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
</ul>

<li>Exposure to weather conditions when in the yard</li>
<li>Potential exposure to mechanical hazards and vehicle traffic</li>
