What will you do? What are we looking for?Job Summary:We are seeking a talented Front-End Engineer to join our forward-thinking development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the user interfaces for our modern web applications. The ideal candidate is an expert in React.js and the modern JavaScript ecosystem. You will leverage your skills to create responsive, high-performance, and visually appealing applications deployed on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented team on scalable, cloud-native products.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and implement user-facing features and UI components using React.js and its core principles.</li><li>Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, reusable code and front-end libraries for future use.</li><li>Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to create seamless and intuitive user experiences.</li><li>Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating actively in code reviews to ensure high standards of quality.</li><li>Integrate with backend services and RESTful APIs to fetch and display data.</li><li>Utilize Google Cloud Platform services for deploying and managing front-end applications, such as using Cloud Run for serverless deployments or integrating with Firebase.</li><li>Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, implementing effective and timely solutions to ensure a smooth user experience.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven professional experience as a Front-End Engineer or in a similar role.</li><li>Strong proficiency in JavaScript (including modern ES6+ features), HTML5, and CSS3.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of React.js and its ecosystem, including state management libraries like Redux or Context API.</li><li>Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM/Yarn.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Hands-on experience with deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li><li>Familiarity with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Firebase, or App Engine.</li><li>Experience with modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Styled Components).</li><li>Knowledge of TypeScript.</li><li>Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with pipelines for automated testing and deployment.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile team environment.</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hourExpected hours: 8 per weekWork Location: In person
