<div><p>To coordinate the operations of the agency facilities: delegate assignments and oversee progress of work orders; meet and coordinate with subcontractors; manage budget; coordinate routine maintenance; assist in the investigation of accident and incidents that occur on agency property. Oversee Environmental Health and Safety components of the Head Start Performance Standards. Maintain related records and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and Cen-Tex Family Services Policy and Procedures.</p><p>
Essential Job Responsibilities:</p><p>
Administrative / Supervision (30%)</p><ul><li>
Hire, train, supervise, coach and evaluate the performance of the Maintenance Specialist.<ul><li>
Provide monitoring oversight of facilities to ensure that all regulatory programs and services are fully compliant.</li><li>
Ensure playgrounds are safe and play structures are sound by initiating a yearly playground inspection.</li><li>
Promote a cooperative team environment.</li><li>
Maintain a system of consistent and accurate exchange of information with staff, vendors and subcontractors.</li><li>
Perform on-site evaluations and collaborate with Managers regarding safety and compliance.</li><li>
Assure that expenditures are appropriate within allowable budget.</li></ul></li></ul><p>
Planning and Documentation (30%)</p><ul><li>
Develop and implement plans and procedures for the Facilities, Maintenance including lawn care, Transportation, and Environmental Health and Safety content areas to ensure that the program is in compliance with all applicable Head Start, Federal, and State regulations.</li><li>
Monitor Maintenance Request Tracking to ensure requests are appropriately handled and resolved in a timely manner.</li><li>
Schedule and coordinate repairs with subcontractors (electrician, plumber, locksmith, etc.)</li><li>
Assess facility needs to evaluate and prioritize Maintenance Tracker Requests to determine assignments/scheduling and determine when projects should be contracted out.</li><li>
Prepare and coordinate job bids, repair costs, and estimates.</li><li>
Organize and maintain appropriate documentation for all facilities and maintenance of jobs, projects and equipment.</li><li>
Conduct safety assessments for all facilities annually.</li><li>
Review and update Emergency Preparedness Plan annually.</li><li>
Develops and coordinate maintenance schedule for all agency vehicles.</li><li>
Assist in budget and grant preparation by providing necessary estimates on facilities, playgrounds, parking areas, and vehicles.</li><li>
Ensures all facilities obtain annual inspections required by state and federal guidelines.</li></ul><p>
Maintenance / Facilities (30%)</p><ul><li>
Coordinate facility construction, renovations and playground development</li><li>
Coordinate and/or perform routine emergency repairs and maintenance at all sites.</li><li>
Assist facility staff in all aspects of the job as needed.</li><li>
Monitor and evaluate the quality and completion of jobs.</li><li>
Coordinate and/or perform after-hour emergency facilities and maintenance calls.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Misc. Job Responsibilities (10%)</p><ul><li>
Conduct and attend meetings and training as appropriate.</li><li>
Ensure annual inventory for tools and equipment. ??</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>
Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li>
Associates or Bachelors Degree in business or related field desirable.</li><li>
Playground Safety Inspector Certification (CPSI) or able to obtain within 1 year of hire date.</li><li>
Minimum one-year supervisory experience, directing, scheduling, and evaluating maintenance/facilities staff.</li><li>
Minimum two years experience in repair and maintenance of equipment, furniture, fixtures, facilities systems, grounds and structures.</li><li>
Intermediate to advance computer skills, including internet and e-mail.</li><li>
Valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License.</li><li>
Must have scheduling flexibility to perform occasional after-hours emergency services.</li><li>

Regular lifting up to 70lbs, to load and transport bulk supplies, furniture, fixtures, etc.</li><li>
Occasional lifting of over 70lbs., with assistance.</li><li>
Regular crouching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, etc. to facilitate various repairs and maintenance activities.</li><li>
Regular reaching including over-head to stock and retrieve supplies, equipment, painting, repairs, etc.</li><li>
Regular keyboarding, filing, phone and computer use sitting at workstation.</li></ul></div>

About the Role:</b></p><p>
The EHS Classroom Teacher at Eagle Lake CDC plays a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 years. The teacher will collaborate with families and staff to create individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each child. Additionally, the EHS Classroom Teacher will assess and document children's progress, ensuring that they meet developmental milestones. Ultimately, this role aims to prepare children for future educational success while supporting their overall well-being.</p><p><b>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><ul><li>
Education:<div>
Infant/Toddler CDA or equivalent credential and High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or Pre-school CDA with training and ability to obtain CDA for infants and toddlers.</div><div>
Employee must be willing, and possess the aptitude and skills necessary, to pursue the preferred educational requirements. (as required by the Head Start Standards)</div><p><i>

Experience:</div><div>
Two years experience teaching, or assistant teaching infants and toddlers in a licensed child care center. Knowledge and experience in: child development and early childhood education; the principles of child health, safety and nutrition; and family dynamics. Working knowledge of: personal computers; word processing; Internet access; and email usage. Ability to work independently as well as with a team.</div></li></ul></li><li><p><b><br>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline; CDA for infants and toddlers.</li><li>
Experience with curriculum development and assessment tools specific to early childhood education.</li><li>
Training in special education or experience working with children with diverse learning needs.</li><li>
Familiarity with technology integration in early childhood classrooms.</li><li>
