</div><div>CASES is a New York City agency at the forefront of the intersection between behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Our mission is to increase public safety through innovative services that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and create opportunities for success in the community. The CASES Court services department services court mandates or endorsed programming at all points in the criminal legal process. CASES operates, alternative to detention (ATD) and alternative to incarceration (ATI) community based programs that are facilitated by the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA) judiciary. CASES interfaces with multiple stakeholders to support these ATD and ATI program options for thousands of defendants in multiple boroughs. Specifically the arraignment team screens approximately 10,000 defendants a year for ATD and ATI programs, Supervised Releasee and newSTART. Additionally, the ATI intake assessment team screens 500 amount per year to divert people into 3 (three) CASES community based programs, Reframing Opportunity Alternatives and Resilience (ROAR), Nathaniel Community Success (NCS) and Nathaniel Assertive Community Treatment (NACT). All Court services teams are dedicated to the CASES mission and facilitating release and positive court outcomes.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

What You Will Be Doing:</b></div></div><div><ul><li>
Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, and other court partners to facilitate program admissions and maintain CASES&rsquo; credibility in the Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts</li><li>
Provide mentorship and support to less experiences colleagues</li><li>
Assist with training new staff on all database and reporting procedures</li><li>
Ensure timely, complete, and accurate documentation in the case record database including collecting and tracking participant demographics, intake, re-arrest cases, court dates and warrants for all court mandated programs</li><li>
Facilitate effective collaboration with SRP, ROAR, ATI and NCS staff delivering services in the borough-based offices to ensure the court receives accurate information and participants satisfy conditions of supervision</li><li>
Provide timely and accurate notification to the court about participant non-compliance (when participants are missing/absconded, fail to report, and are rearrested)</li><li>
Provide culturally competent and anti-racist services in the court 1) in accordance with CASES&rsquo; policies and the delivery of excellent court services to address the needs of youth and young adults, adults, and individuals with behavioral health needs and 2) that are responsive to the race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and criminal legal history of program participants</li><li>
Maintains quality assurance of all data entry tasks to ensure reporting is accurate</li><li>
Analyzes and compares data between multiple databases including OCA, WebCRIMs, PSYCKES and eJusticeNY</li><li>
Ensures the accessibility of information by program staff by developing and maintain a filing system for all administrative and case records</li><li>
Responds appropriately, accurately and timely to all judicial inquiries and attorney correspondence</li><li>
Assists the court parties in all compliance/noncompliance inquires and matters</li><li>
Participates in peer review and quality assurance activities with the intent to improve data management</li><li>
Ensuring QA data is complete and accurate</li><li>
Analysis power bi and salesforce reports, and multiple database for trends to assist program teams to better serve participants</li><li>
Documents and disseminates findings of data analyzation timely and constructively and aids the team with solutions of data management and program delivery</li><li>
Work a regular schedule and adhere to schedule changes to ensure SRP consistently maintains coverage for all court shifts; perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors and senior staff</li><li>
Participate in supervision, case review and staff meetings, and in-service trainings to develop professional skills</li><li>
Complete all other tasks as noted by supervisors</li><li>
Part time in-person position. One work from home day permitted at supervisory discretion</li></ul><div><br>

We are seeking a Court Advocate for our Brooklyn ROAR team, who will join a multidisciplinary team comprised of a Team Leader, Senior Coach, Wellness Coach, Activities and Engagement Specialist, and Program Assistant. The ROAR team provides supportive case management and linkage to services aimed towards behavior modification. The role of the Court Advocate is to provide a link between the court and the ROAR program staff; this position will deliver ongoing updates to the court regarding ROAR participants&rsquo; progress and will communicate information from the court to their ROAR teammates and the participants. <b>Expected to provide cross borough court coverage as needed.</b></div><div></div><div><br>

Engage potential participants and their legal representation in and around the courtroom</li><li>
Ensure participants understand the conditions of their mandate and engagement in CASES</li><li>
Accompany participants to all court appearances and advocate to judges, verbally and through written court reports, for participants to be enrolled or maintained in the CASES diversion services</li><li>
Effectively manage crises to ensure participant safety and well-being</li><li>
Write professional and formal evaluation reports, in compliance with ATI requirements and quality standards, including court-ready reports in advance of scheduled court dates and in response to emergency or expedited situations</li><li>
Collect and track information on participants&rsquo; intake and re-arrest cases, as well as warrants</li><li>
Notify the court when participants are not in compliance, have gone missing (absconded), failed to report as required, or have been rearrested</li><li>
Maintain excellent professional relationships with judges, district attorneys, defense counsel, probation, and other court partners to facilitate program participation and maintain the credibility of CASES in court</li><li>
Collaborate with ROAR teammates to ensure the court&rsquo;s community supervision conditions are being met</li><li>
Participate in team case reviews, including review of assessments, verbal, and written advocacy, as well as work with ROAR teammates to develop ongoing supervision and treatment plans</li><li>
Mentor less experienced teammates in the intricacies of Court procedures</li><li>
Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and in-service training programs</li><li>
Participate in relevant quality improvement, staff training, coaching, and planning activities</li><li>
Complete all necessary documentation, including entering participant information into the Salesforce databases</li><li>
Provide culturally competent oversight, supervision, and management in accordance with the CASES policies and the delivery of excellent court services to address the needs of youth, young adults, adults, individuals with behavioral health needs, and the race and ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and criminal justice history of defendants and program participants</li><li>
