The Job: Reporting to the Senior Director of Individual Giving the Manager, Planned Giving will be responsible for growing and stewarding the Center&rsquo;s nascent planned giving program. The Planned Giving Manager will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote legacy giving opportunities, ensuring the program&rsquo;s long-term success. They will also identify prospective legacy donors while helping to steward existing planned giving donors. 
This is a 2 year, fixed-term position. The position will be based in the Center&rsquo;s Washington D.C. office in a hybrid model of 3 days in office, 2 days working from home. 
Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and implement strategies to establish the Center&rsquo;s planned giving program, including identifying new legacy donors.</li><li>Collaborate with the Senior Director, Individual Giving to set and achieve planned giving revenue goals.</li><li>Utilize databases to track all aspects of follow up and receiving assets from wills, trusts, and other planned gift vehicles.</li><li>Communicate with donors and their families, executors, attorneys and trustees.</li><li>Coordinate and execute marketing efforts, including direct mail, digital campaigns, donor events, and website content, to promote planned giving opportunities.</li><li>Assist in preparation of proposals and other materials for donors and prospects.</li><li>Oversee stewardship efforts for legacy donors, ensuring recognition and engagement through impact reports, events, and personal outreach.</li><li>Maintain accurate records in the donor database, tracking engagement, pledges, and planned giving commitments.</li><li>Serve as an internal resource to, and collaborate with, the broader development team to integrate planned giving into major donor strategies and campaigns.</li><li>Stay informed on trends, best practices, and legal considerations in planned giving and philanthropy.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 

Compensation: The annual salary for this role is $93,000. This salary reflects a position based in Washington, D.C. This salary will be subject to a downward locality adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside the location listed in this posting. Note that most of the salaries listed on our job postings reflect New York, NY salaries, where our National offices are headquartered. 
Union Status: This position will be part of the CRR Union, a shop within Local 2110 United Auto Workers&mdash;Technical, Office, and Professional Workers Union. 
FLSA Exempt Status: This is an exempt role.
Duration: This is a 2 year, fixed term position.

Requirements:<ul><li> 
Minimum of 8 years of fundraising experience, with at least 4 years focused on planned giving or major gifts.</li><li>Strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and estate planning concepts.</li><li>Ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to colleagues and build rapport.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant legal and tax regulations related to charitable giving.</li><li>Existing connections within the legal, financial, and philanthropic communities.</li><li>Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors.</li><li>Experience developing and executing marketing strategies for planned giving.</li><li>Proficiency in donor database management (Raiser&rsquo;s Edge, Salesforce, or similar CRM).</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Commitment to the mission and values of the Center for Reproductive Rights.</li><li>Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of time.</li></ul></div>
