<b>SUMMARY</b></div>
<div>Center for Transforming Lives seeks a dynamic, self-starter to join the marketing and communications team as an intern. The Communications Intern will support the Communications team in amplifying Center for Transforming Lives&rsquo; marketing, storytelling and outreach efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and communications in a non-profit environment. The Communications Intern will assist with internal and external outreach, social media management, content creation, media relations, website analytics and tracking and more.</div>

</div><div><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div>
<div>Under the general direction of the internship supervisor and Director for Communications, provide assistance to the Center for Transforming Lives&rsquo; communications team.</div>
<div>o Support internal and external communication efforts to build relationships with stakeholders</div>
<div>o Help with the creation and implementation of social media content and story coverage</div>
<div>o Support social media analytics tracking</div>
<div>o Assist with preparation for speaking engagements, tracking and follow up</div>
<div>o Prepare marketing materials</div>
<div>o Organize photo/video galleries and communications documents on intranet</div>
<div>o Attend communications team meetings and work closely with the team to support communication functions and activities</div>
<div>o Perform other duties as assigned</div>

<div><b>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</b></div>
<div>o Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design or Radio/Television/Film)<br>
</div>
<div><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES</b></div>
<div>o Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as content creation (photography, videography, captioning)</div>
<div>o Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design or Radio/Television/Film)</div>
<div>o Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing</div>
<div>o Must have working knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office Suite (Words, PowerPoint, Excel). Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus.</div>
<div>o Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills</div>
<div>o Self-starter, good time management, creative, with ability to communicate in a professional manner</div>
<div>o Ability to work well independently and within a team</div>
<div>o Commitment to the organization&rsquo;s mission</div></div></div>
