About Thompson Creek Mine</b></h2>
<p>
The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometers southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.</p>
<p>
In operations since 1983, the mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.</p>
<p>
Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.</p>

About The Opportunity</b></h2>
<p>
We are looking for a <b>Human Resources Business Partner </b>to join our Thompson Creek team on a rotational schedule in <b>Clayton, Idaho</b>. The Human Resources Business Partner acts as a member of, and trusted advisor and coach to, TC Mine&rsquo;s senior leadership team. Identifies stated and underlying needs and develops talent strategies and solutions for the client department or business unit. Collaborates closely with Human Resources team to develop and implement talent solutions, advocating for the needs of the client group in enterprise-wide HR program development and implementation. Provides some day-to-day direction to HR generalists and admin staff.</p>

</p><p>Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>

<ul><li>Partners with senior client group leaders to build a strategic talent plan, aligned to the client group and organization&rsquo;s strategy.</li>
<li>Provide guidance, coaching and support to supervisors and managers in dealing with employee relations issues by ensuring that programs are established to support leadership in leading a diverse workforce.</li>
<li>Aligns organizational workforce plans with Talent Acquisition planning processes.</li>
<li>Assesses the talent needs of the client group through internal evaluations and external environmental scans to identify current and anticipated talent related issues. Uses data and insights to inform business cases for changes to talent strategies or practices.</li>
<li>Works with department manager to develop an annual budget for the HR Department, ensuring that all operational and capital needs are properly accounted.</li>
<li>Represents and advocates for client group needs in enterprise-wide HR program development and implementation.</li>
<li>Works with department manager to ensure effective administration of reward and recognition program (as well as implementing local strategy) to promote a high- performance culture by appropriately rewarding and recognizing employees for length of service and employees who proactively promote a safe, healthy and productive workplace through exceptional performance and commitment.</li>
<li>Facilitates talent-related change management activities. Evaluates the impact of proposed changes on employees; advises the client groups on alternatives and change mitigation.</li>
<li>Lead, develop and maintain a culture within the HR team that fosters teamwork, high performance and personal growth and development.</li>
<li>Partners with senior client group leaders to design organizational structure, job roles, and talent management processes to drive business unit performance.</li>
<li>Facilitates annual performance cycle, talent review, and succession and development planning, ensuring follow-up programs are delivered.</li>

<p>
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:</p>

<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in HR, Business Industrial Relations, Organizational Development or related field.</li>
<li>A minimum of 8 years of senior-level HR experience.</li>
<li>HR certification is an asset.</li>
<li>Proven leadership, strong communication and team building skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency with HR information systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>Effective organization and time management skills.</li>
<li>Makes recommendations and decisions that support organizational goals, and drive people capabilities.</li>
<li>Proactively develops relationships with peers, clients, employees, and leaders of the organization.</li>
