WelderDepartment: WeldingLocation: Greenbush and Red Lake FallsReports to: Welding ManagerPosition Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:Welders are responsible for production and pre-assembly welding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; welding various parts needed to produce state-of-the-art products. They weld using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and GMAW-P (Pulse MIG) welds while meeting all quality standards, specifications, and safety guidelines.Responsibilities:Must be able to:<ul><li>Read work orders, blueprints &amp; production documents and establish daily priorities</li><li>Perform welding tasks based on work order details and production schedules</li><li>Perform first piece inspection of welded manufactured parts to meet blue-print specifications and tolerances and adjust setups accordingly to ensure a quality product is produced</li><li>Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity</li><li>Safely weld various assemblies or component parts into fixtures to produce quality parts</li><li>Maintain proper maintenance on weld guns and wire feeders as needed</li><li>Operate a wide variety of tools related to the welding process (i.e. sanders, grinders, buffers, etc.) as needed</li><li>Troubleshoot, problem solve and elevate any production issues to Lead/Supervisor</li><li>Promote and follow all company safety guidelines and initiatives</li><li>Willing to assist other areas as assigned and needed</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean work environment corresponding to departmental housekeeping standards</li><li>Perform all tasks with a safety mindset</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>Nothing in this job description restricts management&rsquo;s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience<ul><li>High School diploma, GED or relevant work experience</li><li>Complete and pass forklift certification if needed</li><li>Able to work with minimal supervision</li><li>Basic computer navigation and typing skills</li><li>Maintain regular and reliable attendance, reporting to work on time and as scheduled</li><li>Promote and follow all company safety guidelines and initiatives</li><li>Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills</li><li>Work efficiently with the ability to prioritize daily workload</li><li>Willingness to learn and help others</li><li>Detail oriented and capable of carrying out a given task with a commitment to quality</li><li>Motivated and flexible to work in any other area of the plant as needed</li><li>Composed during stressful situations</li><li>Represent the company in a professional friendly manner</li><li>Support and encourage other team members</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria: <ul><li>Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Physical requirements include standing, sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm&rsquo;s length, reaching over-head, lifting up to 55 pounds and using a hoist if necessary</li><li>Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles</li><li>Repetitive use of upper extremities</li><li>Able to work in high heat environments</li></ul>Compensation: starting at $19.59 - $24.50/hour with overtime available.
