The Record Analyst, HIM assures that all records are assembled accurately. Performs cross-checks to assure that all appropriate documents are received from the nursing units/service areas and follows up to obtain necessary information in a timely manner. Performs quality review checks on all discharges and outpatient medical records to assure that required physician, nursing and clinical service documentation meets regulatory and accreditation standards and guidelines.</div><br>

Responsibilities:

Manages the CDI program and day to day CDI operations related to the concurrent review of the clinical documentation in the medical record. Collaborates with Senior Director HIM, providers and other healthcare team members to make improvements that result in accurate, comprehensive documentation that reflects completely, the clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses for the patient. Utilizes clinical expertise and clinical documentation improvement practices as well as facility specific tools for best practice and compliance with the mission/philosophy, standards, goals and core values of Central Maine Healthcare.</div><div></div><div><br>
Actively participates in planning, administering and evaluating the operations of the Clinical Documentation Improvement Team. Qualifications:
