<div>Maintenance Director for Nursing Home and assisted living

Central Nursing is hiring! The Maintenance Director candidate will have 3-4 years minimum years experience as a technician at a large healthcare building. Ability to establish other cost effective maintenance procedures in a healthcare facility, or other related medical facility. Must have excellent communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing, analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to pay close attention to detail, ability to make decisions and handle emergency planning.

Maintenance Director Duties
<ul>
<li>Responsible for all maintenance department operations &amp; personnel.</li>
<li>Regular inspections of the facility, for safety, upkeep, appearance &amp; equipment performance.</li>
<li>Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules.</li>
<li>Schedule &amp; ensure completion of all maintenance &amp; repairs.</li>
<li>Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs &amp; ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion.</li>
<li>Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.</li>
<li>Coordinating department operations, budgets, and monitoring expenditures.</li>
<li>Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal &amp; OSHA standards.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to be &quot;on-call&quot; for emergency situations.</li>
</ul>
Maintenance Director Requirements
<ul>
<li>Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry &amp; general maintenance.</li>
<li>Prior supervisory experience in a Healthcare maintenance setting.</li>
<li>Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service.</li>
<li>Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task / stay on task &amp; maintain focus in stressful situations.</li>
<li>Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills.</li>
</ul>
The Maintenance Director has the ability to perform, supervise and troubleshoot preventive building engineering maintenance duties; perform and supervise routine plumbing repairs; perform and supervise routine electrical repairs; perform and supervise maintenance on fire alarm system; boilers, cooling towers and other building equipment. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, boiler, sprinklers, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, locks, plaster, elevator control and appliances.
