<div><div><b>Major Job Duties</b></div>
<div>This key role supports the daily operations of their assigned water/wastewater treatment facility. Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all crucial equipment through regular inspection and maintenance thereof. Assists in ensuring regulatory compliance to local, state, and federal standards.</div>
<div><br>
<b>Primary Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Perform routine scheduled maintenance at assigned facilities</li>
<li>Assess problems and diagnose equipment failures</li>
<li>Check the condition of lift stations as needed</li>
<li>Pull motors and pumps for needed maintenance</li>
<li>Flush fire hydrants and flush-outs for water quality control</li>
<li>Inspect and operate gate valves</li>
<li>Locate and mark distribution system facilities</li>
<li>Install, relocate, and adjust meter boxes and valve cans</li>
<li>Exterior maintenance of grounds and buildings including lawn and landscaping</li>
<li>Assist with water and wastewater line repairs and other work as directed</li>
<li>Always ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility</li>
 <li>Submit orders necessary supplies</li>
<li>Fulfill customer work orders as required</li>
<li>Read customer water meters at assigned intervals in the assigned area of responsibility</li>
<li>Maintain a daily maintenance log for regulatory requirements</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned</li>

<div></div><div><b>Education/Skills</b></div>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li>
<li>OSHA safety training is a plus</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li>
<li>Experience operating large machinery preferred (backhoes, trenchers, large lawn equipment)</li>
</ul><div><b>Working Conditions</b></div>
<ul><li>Ability to work in extreme weather conditions</li>
<li>Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 75 pounds</li>
<li>Exposure to potential hazards such as chemicals, fumes, and odors</li>
<li>Will work in confined spaces</li>
<li>Willingness to be on call in emergency situations</li></ul></div>
