<div>Buildings and Grounds Mechanic
Duties include working on equipment such as building structure, various types of submersible pumps, corral railing/fencing, pluming, trenching, roofing repairs, concrete repairs, electrical 120v - 480v, and all other areas as needed within the Building and Grounds department. Also incudes, welding such as Mig, Tig, and Stick.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Overtime and weekend work is a must when needed.
</li><li>Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions using tools such as saws, grinders, and drills, and Milling machines.
</li><li>Ensure the quality of finished products by inspecting the materials and final assemblies for accuracy, conformity, and safety.
</li><li>Weld, solder, or bond materials together, including steel, aluminum, and other metals or materials.
</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
</li><li>Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and designers, to ensure that fabrication projects meet specifications and deadlines.
</li><li>Follow all safety procedures and wear necessary protective equipment.
</li><li>Troubleshoot issues with fabrication equipment and machinery when necessary.</li><li>Keep accurate records of work completed, including time logs and inventory used.
</li><li>Other job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.</li></ul>
Skills Qualifications:
<ul><li>Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques in Tig, Mig, Arc Welding, and machinery operation.
</li><li>Ability to read and write English and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.</li><li>Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
</li></ul>&bull; Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as oxy-acetylene torch and plasma cutter. &bull; Attention to detail and precision in food manufacturing processes.
<ul><li>Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
</li><li>Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:
&bull; High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certification is a plus). &bull; Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
<ul><li>Welding or machining certification may be required, depending on the industry.</li></ul>
Working Conditions:
<ul><li>Mechanics typically work in outdoor environments or factories, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and fumes from welding or machinery.
</li><li>Protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and safety clothing is necessary.</li><li>This job requires individuals to be precise, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and within a team.</li></ul>
