Job Title: Senior Accountant (Gold &amp; Precious Metals)Location: Kochi - Thrikkakara Reports to: Finance Manager / CFO Salary : 30,000 - 40,000 Experience : 3-5 YearsWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with proven experience in the gold or jewelry industry. You will manage financial reporting with a specific focus on high-value inventory control, commodity price fluctuations, and hedging strategies. You will play a critical role in tracking metal purity, minimizing wastage, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Inventory &amp; Stock Control: Oversee the daily reconciliation of gold stock by weight and karat. Monitor stock movement between safe, showroom, and workshop.</li><li>Daily Rate Management: Update daily gold rates and revalue inventory based on fluctuating market prices (fixing rates).</li><li>Cost Accounting: Track manufacturing costs, specifically focusing on &quot;wastage&quot; and &quot;making charges&quot; to ensure accurate product costing.</li><li>General Accounting: Manage the General Ledger, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet).</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Industry Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience specifically within the Gold, Jewelry, or Precious Metals sector.</li><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s / Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems specific to the industry</li><li>Strong Excel skills (managing complex inventory spreadsheets).</li><li>Knowledge: Deep understanding of inventory valuation methods (Weighted Average/FIFO) specific to commodities.</li><li>Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GST regulations regarding gold and jewelry</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary based on industry experience up to 40000 per month</li><li>Provident fund provided</li><li>Performance-based bonuses</li></ul>Interested candidates please send your resume to abhijith.s.v@vanitham.com with the subject line &quot;Senior Accountant&quot; in Application.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
