This position is based at our Recovery Centre in Inverness This is an award-winning residential centre for people recovering from significant mental ill health that regularly receives an &lsquo;excellent&rsquo; rating in the quality of its care from the Care Inspectorate. It is a centre that focusses on support and recovery, providing accommodation for up to 23 service users.We are now looking to hire a Staff Nurse to join our excellent team at the Recovery Centre.This role offers a rare opportunity in nursing to play an instrumental role in a person&rsquo;s recovery from mental ill health. Many of the people we support at the Recovery Centre are with us over an extended period of time. They form strong therapeutic bonds with our nurses and the wider team and their ultimate transition to supported or unsupported living is both a significant milestone and a special moment.Our nursing staff contribute to the successful support of people experiencing mental ill-health by:Working holistically: As part of a team, we enable and motivate service users to explore, identify and achieve their goals to move towards mental health recovery.Providing high standards of care: The Staff Nurse will provide nursing care to a high standard in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and in accordance with the unit monitoring and evaluation procedures as directed by the Manager.Continuing support for our service users: The Staff Nurse will carry out assessments relevant to each service user, allocate staff time to meet their needs, set goals with them through the planning of individual support, and review progress.Nurturing the next generation: The Staff Nurse will supervise students and junior staff and assist with the teaching of other staff within the team, becoming a recognised mentor through the University of Highlands and Islands and encouraged to provide support to nursing students.Who we&rsquo;re looking for: This is a permanent, full-time position.
