 Required to join an international contractor working on large scale oil &amp; gas / LNG projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will manage and oversee planning activities being responsible for project planning and scheduling, progress and performance monitoring and reporting.
 
 
 Job Brief:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review Contract documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the Scope of Work and Contract requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Direct, support and check the work produced by the planning team to ensure that requirements are met and corporate norms and procedures are applied.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare programs and schedules (including baseline schedules, construction detailed schedules, etc.) to the level of detail deemed appropriate, in accordance with drawings and Contract obligations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide regular schedule updates, considering latest data regarding actual progress, revised scope, execution sequence and performance. Ensure that schedule updates are realistic and achievable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize Primavera P6 on a regular basis to analyze and recommend improvements to schedules, in terms of logic, critical paths, durations, floats, sequencing, assigned resources (direct man-hours) and execution methodology.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Degree in Mechanical Engineering
 
 
 Minimum (10) years of experience with a construction Contractor&rsquo;s organization working on a breadth of heavy construction Mechanical projects.
 
 
 Experience on LNG / Oil &amp; Gas projects
 
 
 Worked on projects exceeding $100M as a Planning Manager
 
 
 Proven leadership, presentation and communication abilities.
 
 
 Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Workface Planning (WFP) exposure is an advantage.
 
 
 Fluent in written and spoken English

Planning Manager - Mechanical - Oil & Gas

 A international Contractor are looking for a Planning Engineer (PE) with multi-discipline experience in the construction of Mega Oil and Gas / LNG projects. The Planning Engineer will update activities for construction project, including update planning and scheduling, progress and performance monitoring and reporting.
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Understand the Scope of Work and Contract requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare programs for construction detailed schedules (micro schedules, etc.) to the level of detail deemed appropriate, in accordance with drawings and site requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide regular schedule updates, considering latest data regarding actual progress, revised scope, execution sequence and performance. Ensure that schedule updates are realistic and achievable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize Primavera P6 on a regular basis to analyze and recommend improvements to schedules, in terms of logic, critical paths, durations, floats, sequencing, assigned resources (direct man-hours) and execution methodology.
 </li>
 <li>
 Progress monitoring, ensuring compliance with progress measurement procedure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze actual performance versus baseline schedule, proposing recommendations to mitigate delays and implement remedial actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports, as required by the Contract and corporate procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Capable to produce manpower histograms, progress S-curves and commodity curves from the schedule and provide a forecast as a result of the updated schedule.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical.
 
 
 Member of a recognized Engineering Institution is an advantage.
 
 
 3-5 years experience with a construction Contractor&rsquo;s organization working on Mechanical Oil &amp; Gas projects.
 
 
 Primavera user
 
 
 Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and WorkFace Planning (WFP) exposure will be an advantage.
 
 
 Fluent in written and spoken English
