We are looking for a seasoned API Automation Testing professional with 6&ndash;8 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation solutions for RESTful services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Rest Assured, Selenium, and SQL, along with the ability to drive quality initiatives in Agile environments. 
 
<ul><li>Design and implement API automation frameworks using Rest Assured</li><li>Automate REST API test cases covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios</li><li>Validate API responses, request/response payloads, headers, and authentication mechanisms</li><li>Perform backend/database validation using advanced SQL queries</li><li>Maintain and enhance UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver</li><li>Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)</li><li>Review automation code and enforce best practices and quality standards</li><li>Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to understand API designs</li><li>Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and ensure timely defect resolution</li><li>Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance</li><li>Participate in test planning, estimation, and release activities</li></ul></div>
Required qualifications to be successful in this role<div>
Required Skills 
<ul><li>8&ndash;10 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong focus on API Automation</li><li>Excellent hands-on experience with Rest Assured (Java)</li><li>Good experience in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation</li><li>Strong proficiency in Java</li><li>Solid expertise in SQL for database testing and data validation</li><li>Experience with TestNG / JUnit</li><li>Strong understanding of REST architecture, JSON/XML, and API security (OAuth, tokens)</li><li>Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle</li><li>Sound knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies</li></ul>
Good to Have 
<ul><li>Experience with Microservices-based architectures</li><li>Exposure to API performance testing</li><li>Knowledge of Postman / Swagger</li><li>Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud platforms</li><li>ISTQB or relevant QA certification.</li></ul></div>
