After all, it's the Georgian way.General Overview:The Service Manager oversees the front-of-house operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests, fostering high service standards and efficient team collaboration.General Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee FOH operations during service, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.</li><li>Greet guests upon arrival and periodically check tables to ensure satisfaction, resolving concerns promptly.</li><li>Assign and manage server and support staff sections to maintain balanced coverage.</li><li>Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, promotions, or service expectations.</li><li>Monitor table turnover times to maximize seating capacity and efficiency.</li><li>&middot;Ensure FOH staff maintain proper uniforms, grooming standards, and professional behavior during shifts.</li><li>Monitor staff performance during shifts, providing real-time feedback to improve service quality.</li><li>Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely food delivery and resolve ticket delays.</li><li>Assist in developing floor plans and seating arrangements for efficient service flow.</li><li>Manage and resolve seating or reservation conflicts during busy periods.</li><li>Monitor FOH cleanliness, ensuring tables, floors, and restrooms are always presentable.</li><li>Oversee the setup and breakdown of dining areas for special events or large parties.</li><li>Assist in resolving guest complaints and escalate issues to the General Manager when necessary.</li><li>Work with the General Manager to implement strategies for improving the overall guest experience.</li><li>Track FOH inventory, such as glassware, napkins, and utensils, to ensure sufficient stock levels.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline is often preferred. Some organizations may require an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) for higher-level positions.</li><li>Extensive Experience: Several years of relevant managerial experience, typically including a proven track record of success in increasingly responsible roles. The exact number of years may vary depending on the industry and the level of the general manager position.</li><li>Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead and inspire teams, make strategic decisions, and manage day-to-day operations effectively.</li><li>Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
