About the Role:We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Paralegal for a full-time, onsite contract position with a state government agency's Legal Office in Indianapolis, IN. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Department's Legal Counsel by managing and processing public records requests.This is a critical staff position that involves learning and applying the Indiana Code to Access to Public Records requests, researching legal sources, and ensuring the timely processing of incoming requests.Please note: This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis, IN. An in-person interview is required.Essential Responsibilities:<ul><li>Learn and apply the Indiana Code to Access to Public Records to determine the release or denial of records.</li><li>Research and analyze legal sources, including statutes and judicial decisions, related to public records.</li><li>Process incoming Public Records Requests within the allotted timeframe.</li><li>Review and process law enforcement recordings with appropriate redactions per Indiana Code.</li><li>Prepare legal documents for review and approval by Legal Counsel.</li><li>Coordinate the assembly of documentation required for subpoenas and discovery requests.</li><li>Maintain organized files and responsive records.</li><li>Answer phone inquiries and communicate clearly with both the public and internal staff.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>Must meet ONE of the following:</li><li>Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 hours in law or paralegal studies.</li><li>Bachelor's degree AND a Paralegal certificate.</li><li>Bachelor's degree PLUS two (2) years of full-time Paralegal experience.</li><li>Associate's degree in paralegal studies (with certification) AND two (2) years of full-time legal experience.</li><li>Certification in paralegal studies PLUS two (2) years of full-time paralegal experience.</li><li>PACE or CORE Competency Exam from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.</li><li>CLA/CP certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, proofreading, and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Paralegal: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Basic Computer Skills: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Handling sensitive or confidential information: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Legal Research sites LexisNexis and Westlaw: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Paralegal certification (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person

About the Role:We are seeking a PMP-certified IT Business Analyst for a hybrid contract position with a state government agency. This role provides critical support for Time Management, Labor, and HRIS implementations, upgrades, and post-launch optimization for an enterprise system supporting over 4000 employees.As the Human Resources Business Analyst, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert for key systems, including UKG Pro Workforce Management and UKG HR Service Delivery. You will analyze business requirements, perform system testing, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve problems and provide effective solutions.Please note: This is a hybrid position.
