Position Summary</b></p><p>
The Project Manager &ndash; Construction plays a key role in leading and executing new restaurant builds, remodels, and relocations for Charleys Philly Steaks &amp; Wings. This position oversees projects from design through construction completion, working closely with franchisees, architects, general contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet brand standards, budget targets, and opening timelines. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented construction professional with experience in restaurant or quick-service (QSR) environments, strong architectural knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li>Manage 10&ndash;20 active construction projects at a time, primarily franchise locations across the U.S.</li><li>
Partner with franchisees to define project scopes, review site conditions, and facilitate communication with architects, contractors, and local officials.</li><li>
Review and interpret architectural drawings, AutoCAD files, and design layouts to ensure accuracy and compliance with brand standards.</li><li>
Oversee the design approval process, including permitting, bidding, and vendor selection.</li><li>
Direct the general contractor and vendor bidding process, evaluate bids, and make recommendations based on quality, cost, and timeline.</li><li>
Monitor construction progress and schedules, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.</li><li>
Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, IT, Marketing, and Real Estate) for seamless store openings.</li><li>
Conduct final site inspections and punch walks, ensuring all issues are resolved prior to turnover.</li><li>
Support the Operations and Franchise teams with remodels, upgrades, and post-opening needs.</li><li>
Continuously identify opportunities to improve design, construction, and project delivery processes.</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
Qualifications:</b></p><p><b>
Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
5+ years of experience in restaurant, retail, or commercial construction project management.</li><li>
Proven ability to manage multiple projects across different markets simultaneously.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of architectural drawings and construction documents.</li><li>
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, V-Ray and Microsoft Office.</li><li>
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and franchise partners.</li><li>
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>
Travel up to 30% to support site visits, franchise openings, and vendor coordination within the United States.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Preferred:</b></div><div><b><br>
</b></div><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Construction management, Architecture, or Engineering.</li><li>
Experience in Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) or franchise development.</li><li>
Familiarity with BuilderTrend software and SmartSheets.</li><li>
PMP certifications or experience with PMI methodologies.</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
